We have long-term tenants in the other half of this house and many great neighbors nearby, so first and foremost please respect them. No loud music or parties, especially late at night. Please keep your voices down after 10:00 pm.
Use the bicycles AT YOUR OWN RISK. Host is not liable for any mishaps that take place while riding the bikes. Make sure they are locked up when you're out and about, and do NOT leave them out over night. They need to be in the house unless being used. If a bicycle malfunctions (broken chain, flat tire, etc) and you want to get it back on the road, you're welcome to fix it yourself or take it to a nearby shop for repairs (I will reimburse). A Musing Bikes at 1029 Terpsichore is the nearest shop I know of (1 mile), and they're very helpful. If you prefer not to fix it, please just let me know.
Please treat our house and belongings as you would treat your own. Turn off lights, fans, TVs, etc when not in use, and ensure the house is secure when nobody is there. If you move furniture or other items, please return them to where you found them. If you use the pull-out couch, please put the bedding in the laundry room when you leave and return the couch to its normal configuration.
Please leave the house in a condition that will make us want to have you back! Thanks!!!
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.
I am the proudest father and husband on the face of the earth. My wife, Brianne, and I have two sons, Finian and Declan. We live in Florida and love relaxing on the beach, but we also love New Orleans very much. It's been our dream for many years to have a historic home there for us to enjoy on weekends, to share with family and friends, and to allow new friends (read: renters) to experience the local flavor beyond the French Quarter. We LOVE live music, great food, a bit of the night life, and all the history and culture that the Uptown neighborhoods have to offer. We hope that you will get to experience the New Orleans that we're so crazy about when you stay at our house in the Irish Channel.
