Historic Cadiz apt close to beach

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Calle de la Torre, Cádiz, Andalusia 11001, Spain

Beautiful 2 bd apartment in a 300+ year old building at the heart of Cadiz and at about 3 minutes distance to the Caleta beach. Fully renovated, modern, tasteful and it comes with everything you'll need for your trip (private patio, AC, wifi, etc)

The Space

This is a recently renovated full 2 bedroom apartment situated at the ground floor of a nearly 300 years old building in the historic area of Cadiz. It's located about 5 minutes walking distance from the beautiful La Caleta beach, which has some of the most wonderful sunsets in the World. The apartment is placed in a very quiet street. If you've ever been to Spain you know how important this is

The apartment is about 85sq metres big, (890 sq feet), is has two roomy bedrooms, (one with a queen size bed and an additional one with 2 twin sized beds), full bathroom with washing machine, American style kitchen and a spacious living room. There is access to the central beautiful patio and a private tiny tiny Andalusian patio of about 5 sq metres connecting both bedrooms with table, chairs, herbs and plants. Ideal for breakfast or late night conversations.

There is also access to the roof of the building, where locals dry their laundry or just gather and hang out.

The location is superb, you will be literally 5 minutes from everything: beaches, parks, public transportation, public market and squares, churches, etc... It's located in the area where locals just hang out and walk their children.

The apartment is fully furnished and comes with everything you may need: cable-international TV, high speed Internet, landline, coffee maker, towers, linens, etc etc. There a mac computer on the main bedroom for your personal use, in case you don't bring a laptop or just want to watch movies in bed. There is also central heating and AC, again, if you ever been to Spain, you know how important this is.

I was born and raised in Cadiz, bought this house with the idea of living there with my wife when I move back from California. I just want you to take good care of it!

The apartment is ideal for 4 people, but since there have been many requests for more, I added a folding bed and a queen size air bed, which can be set up in a bedroom or on the living room. Just keep that in mind !

  • Best locación. Great communication with Pablo and Montse. I did a last minute reservation for one day and fouur peple in Saturday and it worked very well. The small problems that orher interior building related and last minute reservation (it could have been more tidy) etc are far compensated by their kindness and a perfect location. I Would like to come back doing a normal reservation with some more time and probably it will be better.

  • We had a really great stay for 4 nights in Cadiz. The apartment is really centrally located and no more than 10mins walk from any of the sights in Cadiz. The apartment is nicely equipped and there was plenty of space for the two of us plus our two kids
Pablo could not have been more helpful in arranging our stay. He sent a fantastic detailed email of restaurant recommendations which was brilliant and picking up the keys etc was really simple
One last thing to say is that Cadiz is a really cool place. Superb food, amazing city beach and some great sights. Bit of an undiscovered European gem really....

  • Awesome location, great checkin/checkout and we had a great time in Cadíz!

  • Justine and Pablo's apartment is perfectly located in order to explore the city, without living on a noisy street. Although the apartment is somewhat dark (almost all windows face inside patios) it was a very welcoming place to stay at, and the modern decor and white walls made it nice to come home. We never cooked a meal, but the kitchen seemed to be very well equipped. Justine and Pablo themselves are all one could wish for as hosts: even though they live in a completely different time zone, their replies were always quick and very helpful. Their friend Montse, who hands over the keys, is very friendly as well and had tons of great recommendations for us. Overall, we felt like locals, which is exactly what we were hoping for!

  • The apartment was really nice and clean and the location was perfect in the historical part of the city. Everything went really smoothly with Justine and Pablo and they gave us recommendations of where to go and eat. It´s easy to recommend this apartment to others!

  • Fantastic! The apartment was great, location was perfect, and Justine gave great recommendations! We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed going to the local places that she recommended.

  • The flat is very well situated at a walking distance of all the touristic spots ; we appreciate very much; A small negativ point is that it is at the ground floor, in a small street, the natural lighting is not so good and it is not easy to air the rooms.
We were welcomed by a young lady who gave us good informations on the restaurants, tapas and grocery stores.
A microcomputer is provided, a very good point, but we could not start it up, and the young lady was not able to help us.

  • The apartment was fantastic - it is in a great location in the middle of the historic quarter of Cadiz, close to the market, eateries, watering holes...in fact more or less everything! It was big and although we were only two, it could easily accommodate four. Also, the apartment had character and truly felt like a real home, as opposed to the somewhat sterile environment found in hotels. It was great to come back after a day of sight-seeing, lying on the beach or whatever (in)activity pursued; take a siesta; freshen up; and go out again in the evening.

Having used Airbnb a few times now, I can honestly say that it has been a pleasure dealing with the owners. Justine and Pablo were great at getting back to us, even though they were in NYC, and were brilliant in giving us an extensive list of recommended places to visit, eat and drink in Cadiz, as well as making themselves available to answer any questions that we may have had. Their friend, Montse, who met us at the apartment on arrival was similarly helpful, and took time to make us comfortable and familiar with the apartment, as well as giving us an overview of the surrounding area. Together, their hospitality and advice made us feel more like locals than turistas in Cadiz, and it is just a shame that I could not capitalize on this more with my non-existent Spanish!

I would recommend this apartment and have no hesitation in staying here again when we next come back to Cadiz.

  • It was a lovely apartment in the old part of Cadiz. We were met by Montse on arrival and again when we were leaving on our final day. She was friendly and gave us any information we needed about Cadiz. Apart from the apartment itself which was of a high standard, I really rate the Apple computer and free internet connection which meant that it was easy to get updates on the weather and entertain our 2 year old daughter if the weather outside was wet. I'd have no hesitation to return to this apartment.
