About This Listing
Beautiful 2 bd apartment in a 300+ year old building at the heart of Cadiz and at about 3 minutes distance to the Caleta beach. Fully renovated, modern, tasteful and it comes with everything you'll need for your trip (private patio, AC, wifi, etc).
This is a recently renovated full 2 bedroom apartment situated at the ground floor of a nearly 300 year old building in the historic area of Cadiz. It's located about 5 minutes walking distance from the beautiful La Caleta beach, which has some of the most wonderful sunsets in the World. The apartment is placed in a very quiet street. If you've ever been to Spain you know how important this is.
The apartment is about 85sq metres big, (900 sq feet), has two roomy bedrooms, (one with a queen size bed and an additional one with 2 twin sized beds), full bathroom with washing machine, American style kitchen and a spacious living room. There is access to the central beautiful patio and a private tiny Andalusian patio connecting both bedrooms with table, chairs, herbs and plants. Ideal for breakfast or late night conversations.
There is also access to the roof of the building, where locals dry their laundry or just gather and hang out.
The location is superb, you will be literally a 5 minute walk from everything: beaches, parks, public transportation, public market and squares, churches, etc... It's located in the area where locals just hang out and walk with their children.
The apartment is fully furnished and comes with everything you may need: cable-international TV, high speed wi-fi internet, landline, coffee maker, towels, linens, laundry machine, etc. There is also a crib if you are traveling with babies. There is a mac computer for your personal use, in case you don't bring a laptop or just want to watch movies in bed. There is also central heating and AC, again, if you ever been to Spain, you know how important this is.
In addition to that, I provide two bikes to get around, which is by far the best (and most fun!) way to get around Cadiz.
I was born and raised in Cadiz, bought this house with the idea of living there with my wife when I move back from California. I just want you to take good care of it!
The apartment is ideal for 2 to 5 people. It has a sofa bed for 2 people in the living room.
You will have access to everything, the apartment will be all yours and you'll have access to amenities, utensils, cooking pots and pans, wifi, tv, phone, beach towels, etc. Feel free to read my books and use my home made artisan baskets to go pick up some groceries at the nearby traditional farmers market.
Interaction with Guests
I was born and raised in Cadiz, while I currently live in San Francisco, I am really proud of my town and I really you to have the best experience possible, I love sharing stories and giving advice about Cadiz. You'll definitely hear from me, and you will expect me asking you about your needs and giving you tips on what to do, where to go and where are the best spots in town.
The house is situated in the best area of Cadiz: Right between La Viña, which is the most traditional neighborhood which hosts the Carnival and the Caleta, the best beach in town, You will be at 5 minutes walking distance from the beach, the Genoves Park, the Alameda, which has some stunning views of the Bay, and the Central Markets and Plazas.
I provide two bikes for your use. Bus stops is 4 or 5 minutes away, there is a taxi stop just few blocks from the house and if you prefer to drive, there is very convenient parking garage at few minutes distance from the house.
Other Things to Note
Just try to enjoy the town as much as you can. The house is really well located and close to everything, please do not hesitate in getting in touch with me if you need anything.
Be courteous to the neighbors. Most of them are families with small kids and like some relax time. Some noise is ok, Spaniards can be really noisy, and go to bed late, but observe rules of courtesy. Take care of all the appliances, wash the dishes and make sure the house is clean. Just leave it clean as you found it! Thanks!
Warm welcome by Pablo's friend and helpful info on Cadiz before and upon arrival by Pablo and friend. Great location in old centre, car park nearby. Everything within walking distance and 2 bikes at our disposal. Cadiz was lovely to explore cycling. Apartment in beautiful old building conveniently located on ground floor.
The apartment was just as advertised -- a nice space in a very good location in easy reach of many of Cadiz's top spots to visit. Pablo's friend, Montse, met us outside the apartment and gave us the introduction. She was very friendly and helpful and gave us recommendations to a variety of spots around town. I would definitely recommend this to other folks looking to stay in Cadiz.
We were met at the apartment by a lovely young woman who stands in for the host when he is not around. She showed us around the flat, answered all our questions and gave us some handy tips on where to go and what to see in the neighbourhood.
We really enjoyed your superbly located apartment, so central to all the beautiful places to visit in Cadiz. Many thanks for all the suggestions concerning the yummy restaurants. A definite abode to return to!
Pablo was not in Cadiz when we were there but he was still very responsive and helpful in helping us get to where we needed to go and in touch with Montse. Montse is a doll! She was absolutely wonderful! The house is awesome! In a great location! And you can ride the bikes they provide down to the beach! Our trip was delightful in Cadiz and our Airbnb experience with Pablo and Montse definitely enhanced our experience in Cadiz.
