Beautiful, Spacious and Safe North Georgetown apartment with stunning panoramic views of DC

The Space

Welcome to my beautiful top floor luxury one bedroom apartment. The perfect home away from home for individuals, families, couples and even small groups visiting DC and in need an affordable alternative to expensive hotels.

The Apartment:
The apartment is 800 sq. feet, has separate bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom all recently renovated. The feature amenity is the huge balcony with patio furniture and small bbq grill overlooking the DC skyline. We are on the top floor in DC's highest elevated neighborhoods which means breathtaking panoramic views of many of DC's best neighborhoods and sights including the nations Capitol, Washington Monument, Georgetown Waterfront, Potomac River and across the bridges into Virginia Skyscrapers. The picture included does not do justice to the view, it is absolutely unbelievable.

There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom, a full size futon, (email hidden) Mattress operated by electric pump.

Street parking - with residential permits included for the duration of the rental or designated parking in the building lot available for $15 per day payable in cash on arrival.

The neighborhood:
We are located in North Georgetown in a high-end neighborhood called Glover Park which which is also the west end of embassy row. This beautiful, very safe neighborhood is rich with parks, biking/hiking trails, shopping, nightlife and tourist destinations. From here you can walk to the National Cathedral (5 min), Georgetown (20 min), the National Zoo (20 min), 10+ embassies, Whole Foods/CVS/Starbucks, restaurants and night life (5 minutes). There are Major bus lines on Wisconsin Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue directly in front of the building entrance and the Woodley Park Metro station is a beautiful 20 min walk. Taxi cabs from this location to anywhere downtown DC are around $10-$15.

As travelers ourselves, we understand the importance of maximizing time spent in new places in order to have a truly memorable experience. When you arrive at our place, it will be clean with fresh towels and sheets, some snacks in the fridge, bottled water, a six pack of beer and bottle of wine. In most cases we will be within a few blocks, and encourage our guests to ask us for local suggestions and tips on anything from nightlife to museums, or whatever else you might be interested in.

Cheers, and happy traveling!

  • Excellent! Exactly what we expected and hoped for. Beautiful views of the entire city and an ideal location.

  • Chris and Maria were warm, reliable, responsive and cooperative. We appreciated using their beautiful home, with its excellent location. This is an great place from which to enjoy D.C. I give this a high recommendation. If you plan to have someone sleep in the living room, I would pass on that the neighbor played music until 1 am one of three nights, loud enough to prevent sleep in the living room. This was not a disturbance to those sleeping in the bedroom, however. All in all we had a fantastic experience staying in Chris and Maria's place. A big thank you to them.

  • Chris and Maria were out of town when we arrived, and were fabulous with communications and making sure everything was okay with our arrival. The apartment is in a wonderful walking neighborhood that has quick access to everything, but is away from the city hustle. Parking and building access are convenient, stores and shops are nearby.

As everyone else mentioned, the views from the apartment are wonderful. The condition of the apartment wasn't quite what we expected (but expectations are funny like that). The accommodations are very comfortable, towels and sheets are clean and ready for your arrival, and you'll have everything you need. The space is large for an in-town apartment, and gave us enough room for us both to work remotely.

After the first day, we really were settled in and happy with the spot.

  • The apartment was great, and what a view! There were so many interesting places within walking distance, and transport into Washington and suburbs was easy and convenient. Maria and Chris were very welcoming.

  • The apartment was great and Chris and Maria were lovely. We visited Washington during the government shutdown with two children 10 and 14 and I must say the highlight of the trip was coming home each day to the apartment. If you are in Washington during the shutdown we can recommend the spy museum. We also hired bikes but most of the monuments were fenced off.

  • Chris and Maria's apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay in DC. The apartment is in a very quiet, beautiful neighborhood that is within walking distance to a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. The apartment was clean, spacious and the view from the balcony is just stunning! Chris and Maria were both very responsive to all my messages and just really pleasant to interact with. I would absolutely stay again and would recommend to anyone!

  • This was the perfect location for my three day Labor Day weekend stay. The place was spacious enough to accomodate me and my three girlfriends. The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet and safe. I wish we would have known about the parking passes since we had to circle a few times for street parking. However, that was not an obstacle to a great time in DC. I loved the balcony as well as the pool. I would stay once again or recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.
