About this listing
Beautiful, spacious and safe North Georgetown one bedroom apartment with stunning panoramic views of DC and just steps away from groceries, restaurants, bars, American and Georgetown universities, and major tourist attractions. Pool open Memorial day
Welcome to our beautiful top floor luxury one bedroom apartment. The perfect home away from home for individuals, families, couples and even small groups visiting DC and in need an affordable alternative to expensive hotels.
The apartment is 800 sq. ft, has separate bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom, and has been recently renovated. The feature amenity is the huge balcony with patio furniture and small gas bbq grill overlooking the DC skyline. We are on the top floor in DC's highest elevated neighborhood which means breathtaking panoramic views of many of DC's best neighborhoods and sights including the nation's Capitol, the Washington Monument, Georgetown Waterfront, Potomac River and across the bridges into Virginia's skyscrapers. The picture included does not do justice to the view, it is absolutely unbelievable.
The Master Bedroom features a high-end pillow top queen size bed. The living room has a large comfortable couch, plus top of the line air mattress which is operated by electric pump.
Street parking - with residential permit included for the duration of the rental.
We are located in North Georgetown in a high-end neighborhood called Glover Park which which is also the west end of embassy row. This beautiful, very safe neighborhood is rich with parks, biking/hiking trails, shopping, nightlife and tourist destinations. From here you can walk to the National Cathedral (5 min), Georgetown (20 min), the National Zoo (20 min), 10+ embassies, Whole Foods/Giant/CVS/Starbucks, many restaurants and night life (5 minutes). There are major bus lines on Wisconsin Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue directly in front of our building entrance and the Woodley Park Metro station is a beautiful 20 min walk. Taxi cabs from this location to anywhere downtown DC are around $10-$15. Uber X cars about 20% less than cabs and very convenient.

We are in North Georgetown/ Glover Park which is a neighborhood in northwest Washington, D.C., about a half mile north of Georgetown and just west of the United States Naval Observatory and Number One Observatory Circle (the Vice President's mansion).
We are two blocks to the National Cathedral and Embassy Row, and Rockcreek Park . We are also walking distance to American and Georgetown universities. This is the safest and for me the most beautiful part of Washington, D.C.
Bus stop takes you to metro or anywhere downtown, stops in front of the place. Nearest metro - Woodly Park - 15 -20 min walk. Uber X cars are $7-15 to most places downtown and the Mall. Best way to travel for 2+ people around the city. Taxis are also plentiful if you step outside.

Amazing view to be sure...Everything was perfect. Very close to American University.
One BIG note of IMPORTANCE!!!
Chris was very flexible with my changing schedules and he let us stay 2 extra nights.
The pool was so cold on a hot day, very refreshing...Took 15 minutes to enjoy. The neighbor downstairs is a hair stylist, so now when I come back I have a new place to check out. I sadly booked a different place for parents weekend in October, but in the spring, I hope I can book here again. The parking pass was a def. plus. But the hell if I ever drive in that town again, too many traffic jams and bats outta hell. There were 2 nights of lightening storms, the porch was fab to watch from. Plus if I looked out the bedroom window I could blow a kiss to my son at his dorm. I stayed 1 night alone. Thank you very very much, and your bed was very comfy.
Our stay at Chris and Maria's apartment was exactly what we had hoped for. The apartment was lovely and the location was excellent. The view from the balcony is stunning and our daughter loved the pool. Chris communicated well, which made the whole process of booking/collecting keys etc really easy. Well worth looking into for a stay in DC.
I loved this apartment. Design and attention to details were great. View and pool lived up to expectations. Chris and Maria were really responsive and everything went according to plan. A small caveat would be that it probably is not ideal for anyone with a small child. The same things that make it awesome for adults (views from the balcony, high end design, glass tables, cool knick nacks) make it a challenge if there's a baby or toddler with you. Other than that small caveat, I loved this place and would definitely recommend it.
Amazing is sn understatement for this gem of a penthouse just blocks away from great shopping/dining in Georgetown or more authentic Washingtonian places right in the neighborhood or a bit north in Friendship Heights.
The view is spectacular; 180-degree panorama of all the Washington monuments, from the Capitol Dome, Jefferson, Washington, Lincoln and Kennedy Center across the Bridges into Va.
The apartment is spacious and tastefully decorated, with lots of cool lamps, candles and plants.
Great building with front desk and freshly baked cookies and coffee while you await your Uber.
It's definitely not a bargain, but we loved this place and look forward to returning.
Had such an incredible experience with Chris and Maria! Not only were they super communicative and accommodating, but they made my family feel like they were at home.
Chris and Maria were so understanding and were close when my parents accidentally went to the wrong building and tried to open another person's apartment. Chris was quick to get to the area to help them out.
The listing has had some changes from the photos featured, but is still very much what you're looking for. The kitchen is spacious and perfect for family meals. The balcony faces the National Mall and on Fourth of July you can see the fireworks from the Washington Monument, Arlington and Tyson's Center. It's a great spot with tons of light and a perfect neighborhood just steps from the National Cathedral.
A very great apartment and a very nice host! the house is very clean and comfortable, it's also beautiful. we all like it very much.
and it's very convenient to go to downtown. and Chris is very nice. and because the traffic jam when we came,he waited there all the time. and when we arrived,he told us everything about the house and trip. So great of you and your house.
My wife, two small kids and I were looking for a decent place to stay in Washington for a couple of days and found Chris place to fit out price requirement and location just fine. The place was actually better than the photos in the listing and everything else was exactly as described. Although I didn't get to meet Chris he was very helpful and friendly and made swift responses to our questions. Most recommendable.
