The listing description and photograph of the room are accurate. We did not get to meet Marilyn, but she made it easy for us to get into the Inn - she left the keys at the door and a set for our room on the night stand. We were delighted to arrive to a few bottles of wine and cake set out in the late afternoon, along with fresh fruit and croissants in the morning. The location is amazing, only two blocks to the main square! The house was clean, neat and tidy. The other guests were quiet, we had no trouble sleeping. Given that we had to share a bathroom with another room, it was nice to have a sink in our room and mirrors to be able to get ready, brush teeth, etc in your own space. I absolutely recommend staying here!
By the Plaza was everything we expected and more. It was the perfect location, comfortable and quiet. The additional unexpected treats of home made cake and wine on arrival were delightful. Thank you Marilyn! :-)
My fiancé and I truly enjoyed staying at Rose Garden Inn. It was very well-kept, clean, and in a fantastic location. We loved being able to walk everyone- to our wine tasting, to brunch, to dinner, and even to Hopmonk tavern, which was literally next door!
as usual, the short walk to all the shopping and restaurants of Sonoma made my stay here pleasant and comfortable.
Very cute b&b in the heart of Sonoma. Marilyn didn't meet us, but made it easy to check in and out. It was cozy and comfy.
Adorable little Victorian tucked on the main drag in Sonoma, 3 blocks to Sonoma Plaza ... also adorable. We were going to a wedding and this was the perfect place to get ready and enjoy the town. We didn't get to meet Marilyn in person, but spoke on the phone and she was very friendly. They had a lovely set-up in the morning with coffee, pastries and fruit which was a nice surprise.
Room 1 By the Plaza was exactly as depicted. The location was perfectly situated in downtown Sonoma, and the house was quaint. We were very pleased with the wine and other libations awaiting our arrival, and we enjoyed waking up to a breakfast of croissants and fresh cut berries each morning.

My name is Marilyn . I am an elderly but "with it" lady with 4 grown children who live close by me. My interests have mostly to do with my rental "home" such as gardening and crocheting. In my relaxing times I enjoy reading. Tried to get interested in the compurter or internet but am not that "with it" A lot of the enjoying times are meeting all the guests that have stayed with me throughout the 20 years I have been taking care of the property. In the early days when my family and I first moved here, we owned the restaurant that is next door. We no longer own it but it is still a very good restaurant. Thats one of the great things to do in Sonoma, Try all the great restaurants. In the "Rose Garden Inn" you can walk to all the restaurants and not worry about the wonderful wine you drank and then driving home. Idon't live on the property but my son does, If I'm not able to be there to greet the guests then he is there. I enjoy the quietness of the house . You can't believe it is on the highway because there so little noise. I can sit on the porch and read and not be bothered by the traffic.
