Beautiful house very close to downtown Sonoma and in walking distance of many vineyards. We will absolutely look to stay there again on our next visit to Sonoma. The house was very cute, clean and exactly as described; there was even a nice breakfast spread in the mornings and bottles of wine out for evenings.

Marilyn's Inn was the best option for a girls weekend to Napa Valley. I traveled with my cousin and Room #1 provided ample amount of space for us to spread out and relax. Be advised that there is not a tv, so bring a good book or good glass of wine to sip on the porch. The shared bathroom was not an issue because there is a sink with good lighting in the room. A light breakfast of croissants, fruit, coffee and tea were provided and it was fun to meet the other guests. The Tavern next door is fantastic and the inn's location in Sonoma could not have been better. We highly recommend this place and would definitely return.

Marilyn's home is lovely, the breakfast fresh, and the decor very cozy. Check-in and out were a breeze, and the room was very comfortable. Perfect proximity to Sonoma Plaza - just two blocks away. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Marilyn!

My name is Marilyn . I am an elderly but "with it" lady with 4 grown children who live close by me. My interests have mostly to do with my rental "home" such as gardening and crocheting. In my relaxing times I enjoy reading. Tried to get interested in the computer or internet but am not that "with it" A lot of the enjoying times are meeting all the guests that have stayed with me throughout the 20 years I have been taking care of the property. In the early days when my family and I first moved here, we owned the restaurant that is next door. We no longer own it but it is still a very good restaurant. That's one of the great things to do in Sonoma, Try all the great restaurants. In the "Rose Garden Inn" you can walk to all the restaurants and not worry about the wonderful wine you drank and then driving home. I don't live on the property but my son does, If I'm not able to be there to greet the guests then he is there. I enjoy the quietness of the house . You can't believe it is on the highway because there so little noise. I can sit on the porch and read and not be bothered by the traffic.
