About
Lynn Moore McCreery is a direct descendant of William the Conqueror, Jamestowne settlers, and of the earliest pioneer families of Southernmost Illinois. She has ridden every mile of the Tunnel Hill State Trail (45 mile bicycle trail), hiked in all the natural areas, and is active in many historical, genealogical, lineage, and Native American organizations. She enjoys sharing stories of ghosts, pioneers, and Native Americans. Her recipes from Asia and Europe have appeared in many cookbooks, on the worldwide web, and won cooking contests. The Irish Inn keeps Lynn and her husband, Brian Marshall McCreery busy, but they are determined to visit Antarctica. If you have been to the seventh continent, they will want to hear all about it. Closer to home in the MidWest and MidSouth, they spend two days per month visiting other bed and breakfast inns. In fact taking these mini-holidays on a monthly basis was their New Year's resolution - one they are keeping with relish. You can make the same promise, a resolution you will surely keep! The Irish Inn was name the "Most International B&B" in North America for 2011 by Pamela Lanier Travel Guide readers. The McCreerys are members of American Bed & Breakfast Inns (ABBI), Illinois Bed & Breakfast Association (IBBA), Bed & Breakfast Assocition of Kentucky (BBAK), and Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII). Brian McCreery serves on the board of the IBBA.
