I am a native of Kenmare which is top of the list of best kept towns in Ireland where there are many events during the summer eg Food carnival, annual fair, drag hunt, Farm show, Hill walking weekends and water sport, which is very popular with those who want to get away from it all and enjoy the natural surroundings.
We know how important a Vacation is to our guests, We also have been welcoming Walkers and Cyclist for over ten years.
We are located within Kenmare which is a haven of tranquillity, gourmet food, superb accommodation and breathtaking scenery in one of the most natural, unspoilt environments! The picturesque town is on the estuary of the Kenmare Bay, and is the perfect location from which to discover the South West of Ireland! We are also just a 30 minute drive from Killarney National Park, where you can enjoy the beautiful 'Gap of Dunloe' wildlife and Ross Castle.
NB the following are the time it takes to drive to Kenmare from the Airports- Kerry 1 hour, Cork 1h 40m, Shannon 3 hours, Dublin 5 hours
We are usually available please ask about what you would like to do in the area,
Kenmare being a small town with quaint shops and many small and veried places to eat make one feel at home and relaxed, I love the many walks to view the Mountains or take a drive to the nearby Villages and for a day out visit the 'Skelligs' or 'Healy Pass'
There is Coach and Bus service to Killarney and Cork to and from Kenmare, but you really need a Car to get to see the valleys and Mountains we have free parking for you and you can leave your car if you are walking the 'Kerry way'
This is a great B&B. Eilish is very nice and was very welcoming upon my arrival and immediately showed me to room. The room was very clean, nicely furnished, and an en suite bathroom. The bed itself was very comfortable. And the wifi reaches into the room, which is very welcome.
It is an easy 20 min walk from the city center but a bit too far if you have much luggage to walk, so I'd recommend a cab if you're walking. This also makes the B&B nice and quiet, away from the bustle of Kenmare.
The breakfast next morning was excellent. Great Irish breakfast.
I would definitely recommend this B&B.
Charming place and charming hostess! We stayed only one night but had comfy, clean beds, followed by a delicious full Irish breakfast. Highly recommended.
