Wonderful huge apartments in the heart of Rome. It couldnt be better - location, value for money, design, owner... Everything!!
This apartment was everything I expected and more. It was centrally located and in a nice safe area with direct access from the street and a grocery store around the corner. I would definitely stay here again. Communication and handover of keys was easy.
The apartment was exactly like it was described on the Airbnb website. Very comfortable and clean, and the area was just perfect - just near the old forum, surrounded by this exceptional view, you cannot hope for better.
The street where the apartment is located is very quiet so the apartment is calm which is very appreciable when you come back from a whole day walking in this busy (and very noisy) city.
we did everything by walking. No need for transportation except, maybe, for Vatican which is about 35 to 40 minutes walking from the apartment. The other places are about 10 minutes walking and even less. The apartment's location is really magic for people who want to feel they are is an old, antic city.
Little tips - the café opposite of the apartment is expensive and the lady is not very nice. We paid 44 euros for 2 coffee, 2 orange juices and 2 sandwiches...So, DONT GO THERE. there is a little shop just outside the apartment where you can buy yourself very nice bread and prosciutto, cheese and some fruits if you want to have a nice breakfast in the apartment before starting the day.
Information to know - ladies, if you have long hair, the hairdryer in the apartment is tiny and not very performant. Sun: as the apartment is on ground floor, do not expect to have day light. It is not really a problem as the purpose is to spend time outside :-) Other information - do not bring any music speakers, there is everything available in the apartment and of high level of quality (a special jack to play from Iphone, iPad). Guide - you don't need any guide book as everything is put on the table when you arrive in the apartment.
A special thanks to Emiliano for his reactivity and sympathy.
To Lorenzo for having brought is from the airport to the apartment.
To Alice, his mum, who was very kind.
DEFINITELY, an apartment to rent!
We had a great time in the apartment of Emiliano. The communication with Emiliano before our holiday was perfect and he replied very quick on emails. And during our stay it was the same. He gave us some advice about traveling to Ostia Antica as well.
Emiliano arranged the taxi from the airport to the apartment. When we arrived someone was waiting for us and he showed us the apartment and explained everything.
You'll enter the apartment right from the street. Next to it there is a little grocery store and on the other side of the road a bar and restaurant. The apartment is really in the centre of Rome, right next to the Forum Romanum, Capitol and Palatin.
The apartment itself has got a kitchen, but we didn't used it often. We only missed the drink glasses in the kitchen. The mattresses are a little bit hard, but were no problem for us (good to know). The shower was good.
The Wi-Fi wasn't stable in the whole apartment (in the bedroom very instable). A problem was that we had no network service in the apartment, so we were not able to make a call inside. Therefor we had to go outside.
But we had a great stay at Emilano's place, so don't hesitate to book!
- Near bus stops, but about .75 mile from the nearest Metro stop
- Right next to the Roman Forum and Colosseum
- Spacious & very nicely decorated apartment
- Hard to find since it is located on a very short street that starts after a set of stairs. The street number is 58a, not just 58. However, it is across from the "In Roma" restaurant.
What a wonderful hidden jewel right in the middle of Ancient Rome Not only clean stylish and comfortable but plumbing that worked and wi fi slick and fast. no stairs for travellers of a certain age. We would love to return and just languish.
Emiliano is a great host. He had us picked up at the airport and directly to the apartment. He also arranged a car for us when we left. The apartment is exactly the way you see it in the pictures. Prime location in Rome. You are close to everything! Also the restaurant InRoma is great! which is steps from the front of the apartment. When I come back to Rome I will be booking with Emiliano. Class act and totally awesome when it comes to responding to emails.
A lovely apartment in a great location. Would stay again.
We had problems getting there after 2 plane delays and not finding the driver Emiliano had arranged for us. Had managed to reach him by phone from the Madrid airport, but not from Fiumicino airport. After giving up on the driver, we took a taxi, who eventually got through to Emiliano. Still, he had a hard time finding the exact address. Very stressful, but a relief to find Emiliano waiting to let us in. After getting settled in, we found the apt. reasonably clean and comfortable. Great to have a well-equipped kitchen, but the best thing about it was the quiet, convenient location. A good restaurant right across the street, a great market nearby, beautiful ruins and other attractions all around. Stayed 4 nights, but would have preferred at least a week.
I loved this place! It was a very good experience. The wifi was awesome, and it even had a washer and dryer. The best thing about it, however, is the location. It's perfect and within walking distance to all major sites. I walked everywhere. The Imperial forum, the Capitoline museums and the Vitoriano monument are literally right outside the door. Many other ancient sites are around the corner as well, and yet it's in a very quiet neighborhood. There is a great little cafe that opens early in the morning right outside, and 2 other restaurants. I only ate at the one that has tables outside facing the church, and it was a good restaurant.
Emiliano wasn't there when I arrived, but the landlady's son was, and he was super nice and helpful. They even arranged a car to pick me up at the airport. Great people! I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again.
