Is located in the quiet countryside of the Tuscan Maremma, an area of considerable interest to the natural beauty of the landscapes, the cultural wealth of Etruscan and Roman ruins and medieval towns (7 km Sovana, Sorano 10 km, 12 km Pitigliano, Montemerano 15 km). Very close to the thermal waters of Saturnia famous for medical and cosmetic properties, is rich in rivers to bathe and is about 30 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the Argentario and the mountains of 'Amiata. "
The area is full of restaurants with Maremma cuisine very tasty (homemade pasta sauce, acquacotta, wild boar, etc..) Among others, the inn at Corinth in San Martino on the Fiora, economic and good quality. At the restaurant Montemerano Cain restaurant guides rank among the ten best and most expensive restaurants in Italy. Many wineries with wine of good quality, among other near San Martino Busattine of the farm produces organic wine. In the area you can explore on foot or on horseback, just read the guides where the house is fully equipped. "
This is a great location, but a little load (there are some parties in the area. But t didn't disturb us. There is nice light in the apartment and it was well-furnished and outfitted. We had some trouble with the hot water, but they immediately came and fixed when we called. The only problem/confusion was about an additional "stay tax" that we were asked to pay in cash upon departure. We had no prior indication that this would happen. Make sure you ask, when you book, whether this tax is included in the rate or if you will be asked to pay later.
This was a lovely place right in the heart of Trastevere, and close to some great restaurants. It was equipped with everything one would need, and felt very secure as well. Since it is right on Piazza della Scala, there is a lot of street noise, but that is diminished if you close the terrace window. I was very comfortable there. Federico's friend Dario was waiting for me when I arrived, and Federico was very accommodating. I would recommend this place for those who want to be at the heart (email hidden)ly and exciting neighbourhood in a clean, comfortable place.
Fantastic location. Only few minutes walk from tube station!! Federico is a warm guy providing all the details for our comfortable stay. We enjoyed the attic area and it provide space to hang our laundry. Super! The house is clean and tidy, too.
Highly recommended for family with kids.
Spacious apt short walks from Campo de' Fiori and Plaza Navona. However the pictures are not current and the place has become dingy over time. The sofa is stained but has a cover and the walls are in need of a paint job. However, Frederico was very responsive to our needs during our stay. The apt is in a nice location just temper your expectations that it will look as light and cheery in the listing photos.
Fantastic place and host. Great location, well worth any price. Bianca's advice on restaurants, gelato places etc was the best!
the apartment was glorious. WE loved hanging out there. We were 2 couples and we had privacy and wonderful areas to share conversation, meals and wine. the kitchen was well equipped, towels and sheets and beds lovely. Federico was very responsive and Bianca provided the context for having some of the best meals and experiences in Italy that we could have had!
We had a fantastic stay at Federico's place. After getting into Rome very early in the morning after a long few days travelling from NZ, Federico was very accommodating and kind and let us check in early. Federico was always very quick to respond to emails and was very helpful.
The place itself is great, perfect for the two of us, very clean and we pleasantly surprised to find a washing machine there too. The location is fantastic and we walked to all of the main sights which were no longer than a 15 min walk away. At night we were perfectly situated from local restaurants just a stones throw away. There was also a small supermarket just up the street and markets around the corner. I don't think we could have got a better location.
All in all a great place to stay and I will highly recommend to anyone going to Rome, we will definetly be back!
Federico was not available to check us in but instead sent his lovely friend Laura to assist us. She was very helpful and showed us a map with favourite restaurants and shopping spots.
The apartment was close to Termini (about a 7 min walk) and behind two locked main doors so very safe. and then up a couple of levels by stairs to the apartment.
The apartment was dimmer than in the photos, and we had to open all windows as it was perfumed heavily. When we turned off the auto perfume as it was overpowering upon walking in, then apartment smelt a bit strange and so we knew the perfume was maybe trying to help with this.
The TV was small as was the shower, but both worked fine. The kitchen was big as was the bed, and very comfortable. The wifi was a little slower than we are used to but again, worked fine.
The noise from other neighbours was noticeable of a morning as any sound within the courtyard echoed. This however did not bother us as we were up early each day ready to explore the town.
The location of the apartment was suitable for the Colloseum and Forum, and main access to the city.
It was a good walk to the southern aspect of the city, including the Vatican area. I would say, about 45 mins, but there are many public transport options if walking was not your thing.
All in all, the flat was clean, check in was on time and the location was good.
We had a great time in Rome.
Thanks for having us!
I loved my stay at this apartment! The location was perfect, right in the heart of Trastevere, and within walking distance to all of the major sites. The balcony is overlooking a very popular piazza, which contributes to the charm of the apartment, but if you are sensitive to late night noise, bring some ear plugs with you. They did the trick for me.
Although Federico was not available when I arrived to Rome, his friend met me at the apartment to let me in and introduce me to the area. Federico was always accessible via email if I had any questions, and he responded promptly.
The apartment is very clean and true to the pictures shown on the site. I highly recommend this apartment! It was well worth it!
