About this listing
This is a super cozy apartment right in downtown Palo Alto--one block from the Apple store on University Avenue with small kitchen/dining area, living room, separate bedroom and bathroom with shower.
This is a super cozy apartment right in downtown Palo Alto--one block from the Apple store on University Avenue. There is wireless internet and tv with roku box so you can stream tv and movies (netflix, hulu, etc. (no regular tv channels). The bedroom has a comfortable full size bed. The bathroom is small but has the basics like shower and sink. There is also a small kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, etc. There is no laundry onsite, but there is a laundromat across the street that also offers wash and fold service. We just added a small window air conditioning unit that will help with the summer heat. Parking is included and in the lot behind the house!
Cabs to/from SFO are pretty expensive to Palo Alto. I would say the cost is around $90. You typically won't save any money by calling a cab versus taking one from the airport.
I usually like to take BART to CalTrain. My apartment is about a ten minute walk from the Palo Alto CalTrain station. The cost is about $10, but it will take you an hour versus 30 minutes. (website hidden)
Another option people use is SuperShuttle: (website hidden)
parking (if you are renting a car): there is one reserved parking spot included in your rental price.

This unit is in a large old house with other tenants. Please keep noise to a minimum and be courteous to the neighbors. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment and in the main house (this includes the backyard and porch areas).
As long as you treat my home as your own, all will be well. :)
This apartment was convenient to the main drag in Palo Alto and was clean and fine for our stay. Only complaints were that it was a bit hot without a/c and there was a bit of a gas smell in the apt coming from the gas fireplace (i think). Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
Marissa's apartment was lovely and well-cared for, right in the heart of Palo Alto. It was clean and the bed was super comfy! You might want to load a noise machine app on your phone if you are sensitive about noise. This is a city with all the city early morning truck noises. It was great to have a parking spot! Marissa was helpful and responsive to our questions. We will be back when we visit our son again.
Marissa was great, informing me of everything I needed to know before my arrival. The apartment was cozy as advertised (especially the bed!) and the location was great. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The only thing that would've been good to know beforehand is that the light to the main room is behind the bookshelf. Was a bit spooky coming in late and not being able to find the light!
For anyone visiting PaloAlto this location is great. All what one could need is just around the corner.
The place is comfortable and warm.
It's a definite yes and we would definitely look at the same place for our next visit.
Thank you Marissa you were a good host

Overall great apartment - good location and very clean. I took a gamble on going for a place with a double bed and it did turn out to be a bit too small for myself and my partner (as we are both tall) but we managed. Also there are two bright lights on the exterior of the house, which are right outside the bedroom windows making it kind of bright when you're trying to sleep.
Marissa was a fantastic host and helped make my stay easy and enjoyable. She responded very quickly to all my messages to make sure my travel plans were easy to finalize and also allowed some flexibility in extending my stay when my work trip went over. She apartment is in a great location, very neat and comfortable, and really easy to find. I had a great time grabbing late dinners / desserts at Umami Burger and Cream which are just down the street. Recommended for any travelers to the Bay Area / Silicon Valley.
My work took me to Palo Alto for a full month, so I needed a place that would be convenient and practical, but also "homey." From my first inquiry, Marissa responded promptly, politely and very helpfully. I much appreciated her attention to detail and reliability, and the ease of communication. The apartment is much as described, compact, pretty, practical, and functional. The artwork on the walls, interesting selection of books, and full kitchen made it particularly welcoming. I enjoyed my stay there and would certainly return!
