This is a super cozy apartment right in downtown Palo Alto--one block from the Apple store on University Avenue with small kitchen/dining area, living room, separate bedroom and bathroom with shower.
This is a super cozy apartment right in downtown Palo Alto--one block from the Apple store on University Avenue. There is wireless internet and tv with roku box so you can stream tv and movies (netflix, hulu, etc. (no regular tv channels). The bedroom has a comfortable full size bed. The bathroom is small but has the basics like shower and sink. There is also a small kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, etc. There is no laundry onsite, but there is a laundromat across the street that also offers wash and fold service. We just added a small window air conditioning unit that will help with the summer heat. Parking is included and in the lot behind the house!
Cabs to/from SFO are pretty expensive to Palo Alto. I would say the cost is around $90. You typically won't save any money by calling a cab versus taking one from the airport.
I usually like to take BART to CalTrain. My apartment is about a ten minute walk from the Palo Alto CalTrain station. The cost is about $10, but it will take you an hour versus 30 minutes. (website hidden)
Another option people use is SuperShuttle: (website hidden)
parking (if you are renting a car): there is one reserved parking spot included in your rental price.

This unit is in a large old house with other tenants. Please keep noise to a minimum and be courteous to the neighbors. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment and in the main house (this includes the backyard and porch areas).
As long as you treat my home as your own, all will be well. :)
Marissa's place was very nice. I felt immediately at home there. The decor and accommodations were great, and there's just something about the space that feels cozy and inviting. It was well maintained and in good shape. A couple things to expect: The bedroom gets a lot of light in the morning. So if you like to get up with the sun, it's pretty nice. The room is a on the first floor, and you will definitely hear the traffic and people walking by on the sidewalk at night, right outside your window. This didn't bother me much, but I was surprised how much I could hear. And lastly, a wonderful perk: this is one of the few rentals I've stayed at in Palo Alto that has decent water pressure in the shower. That alone is pretty much worth a return visit!
I had a really lovely stay at Marissa's home. She was accommodating and available for any queries I had. The house is in a brilliant location, and is extremely comfortable and cosy. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here agin, in fact, I hope to book here again for my next trip!
Loved staying here in this cute apartment right downtown. The fact that there was a parking spot provided made it so easy to walk about the neighborhood and downtown area! Marissa was sweet and accommodating and answered any questions we had. Would recommend this spot to anyone looking for something close and unique to Palo Alto!
Marissa was an excellent host! Everything in the apartment was very clean, tidy and well organized. Marissa also asked in the first day of arrival if everything is going al right. Altogether I had a very pleasant experience and I would recommend Marissa’s place to everybody visiting Palo Alto.
Marissa's apartment is located on a busy street in Palo Alto in a great neighborhood. The apartment is fun, quirky and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and allowed me to sleep well despite the inability to block the street lights and street noise. Marrissa was very attentive. I definitely want to stay again in this wonderful apartment!
This really is a lovely little apartment. And Marissa was very responsive to my questions after I moved in. She even came by to sort out the WiFi when it stopped working. The apartment is well stocked with essentials and everything was clean and tidy.
It was great to have a parking space in back behind the house. And the detailed instructions for finding the keys, and how everything worked were accurate and very helpful.
The location is super for exploring Palo Alto on foot. And there are great hikes as close as 20 minutes away (by car).
I hope to come back next time I am working in the area.
Very nice experience! Great location and cozy apartment. Would love to go back.
