We were met at the apartment and Richard, who is very friendly, came round to make sure we were comfortable a couple of days later too. The apartment itself is wonderfully equipped, very comfortable, quiet (with only a little background noise from the neighbors and road outside) and within walking distance of shops and practically everything that you are likely to want to see or do in Montreal. We've stayed in nicer neighborhoods (as this felt a little rough in places), but so far no better equipped AirBnB apartment than this one.

I loved the apartment - elegant, cozy, nice layout and spotless. The apartment is the only one on the top floor so is very private. The location is very convenient to the metro, restaurants, grocery stores, drugstores and coffee shops, and is an easy walk to downtown. The host was very prompt and helpful. I would highly recommend Richard's apartment.

This apartment is very nice and so is the host. The location is very central, you can walk to the metro, many buses, grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee shops, really everything is really easy from here. The apartment itself is nice and renovated. It's very clean and pretty much everything works well (water pressure isn't amazing, but I'm picky, it's fine). Bed is quite comfortable, lots of sheets and towels. Sheets and bedding are good quality. Place is spacious and kitchen is quite nice and very well stocked! Host is very friendly and nice. He waited up for quite a late check-in. This place is well recommended. For picky travelers, I would note that the stairway is a bit narrow and old leading to the place. Also the street outside the living room faces a pub and some homeless sometimes and can be a bit noisy, but the bedroom window faces a quiet courtyard. The walls are not very thick, so you will hear neighbors from time to time. There is a lot of construction in Montreal, but you will find this anywhere really throughout the city. Dryer was broken when I arrived, and I was told it would be fixed in two days, then a week, then two, then three, so this wasn't the most professional, but the host was always nice and brought a bottle of wine to make up for it and also bought a drying rack to use in the meantime. Internet is about 10 Mbps. Apartment is on the second floor of a walk-up. Air conditioner is only in the dining room, but if you leave the bedroom door open it is strong enough to the cool the bedroom as well. For a short-term traveler, I think it's perfect. The value for the price is actually quite high and the host is respectful and tries to accommodate. Thanks again!

I spent 6 weeks in Richard's apartment this summer, and he was great! Every time there was an issue, he was prompt in responding and resolving whatever was going on. I wasn't a big fan of parking my car on the street for so long, but then I saw a sign across the street from the apartment advertising parking spaces in a garage that were for rent. Everything worked out well, and I'm very satisfied with my stay in Montreal. Merci, Richard!

Richard was an excellent host and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He was available at the unit on my arrival to show me around and indicate where everything was and how to work any major appliances. The apartment was immaculate and ideally located next to many restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery stores, markets delicatessens; everything you needed was a short walk away. We could walk to downtown, old Montreal, St Catherine Street, St Denis Street and St Laurent Street for entertainment and some great and unique shopping. The Berri station was literally a 2 minute walk and we were on a train to Mont Royale and/or the Jean Talon markets. The bed was comfortable, the shower and hot water great, and it was lovely sitting on the balcony sipping wine. The apartment was private and basically perfect! Thank you, Richard for such an amazing stay in Montreal. We will be back soon to stay at your place if available. Elly :)

This was a very nice apartment. Everything felt up to date and Richard provided some basics in the fridge for us. Air conditioning was nice after a day walking around the Old Town, which is about a 10 minute walk away. Good sized kitchen if you plan on cooking. A couple things we noticed - there weren't many English TV channels (for those considering a longer stay). Also, the apartment is about 35 steps up from the street level. For those traveling heavy or with mobility issues that could be a concern - for us it was fine, but for others it may not be. Richard was very helpful in finding us free parking and had some local restaurant recommendations. Definitely a nice, comfortable place to stay and the apartment was quiet despite being located on a busy street.

Excellent location and very cosy and comfortable apartment. Every details in the apartment is thought of. We stayed there for one week and liked it very much. Couple of tips: good sushi outlet just next door, and be sure to explore and spend some time at Plateau district and its parks - it's sheer pleasure to have a walk there, stroll through its streets, relax in the cafes.
