Awesome hosts! Super friendly, helpful and attentive. The house is in a great location, closer to the airport and to the waterfalls than the center of Foz de Iguaçu, and the home itself is very beautiful.

You won't find a better place to stay in Foz do Iguaçu. Perfectly situated and most importantly, the Fuchs family are awesome hosts. They made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. I had breakfast at their home every morning, which was an excellent idea. The amenities were accurate and communication was quick. I would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Foz do Iguaçu.

Emerson has been a great host. As soon as I made the reservation, he's been helping me planning the trip to Foz. Dad and mom are super nice and made my stay very pleasant. Room is super comfortable and clean.

Ferdinando and Mariana (Emerson's parents) greeted us at the door and were very welcoming. Mariana even made fresh-squeezed orange juice for us. Their house is very clean and well put-together. The neighborhood is safe and we felt comfortable walking to dinner. There is a Japanese restaurant nearby, Miyako, that is rather delicious. The hosts were kind enough to offer transportation services for a reasonable price, which we felt were cheaper than getting taxis everywhere we needed to go. They also made a few stops for us along the way (bank to withdraw cash, tour agency to exchange currencies, souvenir shop to pick up chocolate). Breakfast every morning included fresh-squeezed orange juice, coffee, bread, meat, cheese and at least two varieties of fruit. It was delicious. Since we were craving home-cooking on the last night, Mariana was kind enough to cook us dinner, for a reaonsable fee. This couple is very kind and sweet. She tried helping us get through to the airlines on the phone for nearly an hour. We had an early morning flight on the last day and both of them woke up to drop us off at the airport. Unnecessary but a very kind gesture. The weather was very hot when we went plus there was humidity. Fans helped in the house, but there was air conditioning in the bedroom. Both of them do not speak English so we got by with our broken Spanish. Their daughter lives nearby and was able to help us translate at times. We would definitely recommend this place to respectful people traveling to this area.

I first used Airbnb in 2011 and since then stayed in almost 20 places, but they were all in the US until this one. I was a little worried about taking this step, but there was no need to be. Mariana and Ferdinando were absolutely wonderful! I felt at home right away. Also, when I got the idea to do a day trip into Paraguay, not to nearby Ciudad del Este for shopping, which is common, but to the World Heritage ruins of Trinidad, Mariana took me to a nearby travel agent to arrange the trip. That kind of personal service and the feeling of "being at home away from home" are what made me love Airbnb from the start. Now I love it internationally as much as domestically. I will mention, I am functional in Portuguese. There are plenty of reviews here from guests who managed without Portuguese or Spanish (or German, which Ferdinando also speaks). I personally would find it daunting to be in a home where I couldn't speak with the hosts. If you have more courage than I do in this regard, then by all means go for it. As for setting things up beforehand, that is completely easy. Emerson speaks English like a native and will answer your questions very quickly. Just a couple comments on location, expanding a bit on what other reviewers have said. The house is only a block from a bus line which goes straight to the falls. Next door to the house is a small bar/restaurant that makes a decent sandwich, and a block away is the Iguassu Boulevard complex which includes a restaurant. A Japanese restaurant a few blocks away comes highly recommended, but I didn't try it. That's about all that's in the area. If you prefer a little more action, you might opt for the downtown area. I like a quiet neighborhood without much hustle and bustle, so for me this location was ideal.

I had an awesome time with Emerson's family, they made me feel like part of them. They made sure I did everything I wanted to do, including going to Argentina and Paraguay. I especially enjoying the fresh breakfast every morning and joining their family's Sunday barbecue before departing. I will definitely stay with them again next time I'm in Foz!

I was really taken care of during my stay. Emerson's parents were truly warm and helpful for whatever I needed. The house was really near the main road which had direct bus services to the airport and the national park which made things convenient. The room was tidy and spotless clean as well. Definitely would love to stay with them again one day when I go back.

Hi, I'm Emerson and am from Iguassu - Brazil. Some time ago I decided to leave my hometown in South Brazil and moved to London where I lived for about 6 years. Then in 2010 decided to move to Warsaw in Poland with my wife and there I was until beginning of 2014 when we moved to Barcelona and lived for 2 years. Back to Warsaw in 2016 let's see what life reserved for us. :) This world is so big with so many beautiful places to visit and to live in.
One of the things I most like to do is travelling. During these years I have visited some countries in Europe and always tried to know at least a little bit about different cultures. Another passion is watching movies. Is there anything better than eat popcorn with a coke in front of a big screen?
Yes, of course there is... I know. For instance why not come to visit my hometown, the Iguassu Waterfalls and get a totally different experience? Did you know that in Iguassu you can visit 3 countries at once? Amazing isn't it? Did you know that there was built the biggest dam in the world? I can ensure you that this is a magical place. Once you see the falls and interact with all the nature you'll understand what I'm talking about.
So book your place with us and just enjoy your holidays. Be sure we will do our best to make you feel comfortable.
Any doubts, please drop me a line and I can give you all info you need.
See ya and have great holidays!! :)
