The agriturismo "Il Tamantino", a beautiful Villa in the Apennines, offers 6 independent apartments each with a kitchen, a bathroom with shower, 2 bedrooms and a terrace.
The property also features a swimming pool and a tennis court. Is the position, although high in the mountains of Gubbio, is strategic enough: thanks to the main road almost, you can reach the main historical attractions of the region in less than an hour: Perugia (35 minutes), Assisi (40 min) Gubbio (30 min), Orvieto (45 min).
A stay may be enriched with guided tours becouse my father is belgian and he is a tour guide.
It is also possible to book airport transfers becouse we have a business of transport. The Agriturismo "Il tamantino" to discover the beauty and history of umbria wants to stay in a quiet and comfortable.
We charge 30 euro pp per night, but for families or a weekend special rates.

Very lovely place in Umbria. The pool and tennis court is great.
It is a bit difficult to find if you choose GPS. Instead, use the directions on the website and ask for help. It seems like people in the neighbourhood knows the place.
The view is stunning. The place is very clean. Good value for money.
Tomasso was helpful - you can either text him or call him.
Will definitely return.
WARNING – Agritorismo de Il Taminto
12 August 2013
We have just had the missfortune to stay here for 8 days. We were meant to stay a further 4 days but decided to leave as we were very unhappy. We thought it best to share our experience so you can make a more informed decision because the description and images are quite misleading.
What it’s really like:
There are a total of 6 apartments.
•4 x very small apartments comprising of a separate kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bathroom (no lounge area) – we didn’t stay in one of these, but we did look in. THEY LOOKED OK BUT NOT GREAT.
•2 x older apartments which are MUCH WORSE, one of which we stayed in. We were told there would be 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate kitchen. However, this was not the case. We had a very basic kitchen in the corner of our bedroom, then we had to walk through the twin room to get to the bathroom. There was no living area and nowhere where we could sit down and relax except on the porch (which was often too hot to sit out on during the day). It is very badly equipped and had no mod cons (washing machine, toaster, kettle, wine glasses, oven, sharp knives, decent amount of plates… to name a few). It was very rustic and by rustic we mean full of cobwebs, spiders, spiders eggs, SCORPIONS, HORNETS and wasps. The paint was flaking off the walls and the wooden beams, doors and architraves all looked like they were infested with insects. However, despite all this our biggest problem with this apartment was the large Alsatian dog cooped up in a 2m x 3m pen just in front of the apartment that barked 24/7 – it kept us awake most nights and was incredibly aggressive and unhappy sounding.
•The Football pitch is overgrown and unusable
•The swimming pool is murky and infested with wasps
•The tennis court is OK
•The games room is old and rusty
The photos you see are not representative of what you really get. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
We left and found an amazing house over 3 levels with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room and a kitchen/dinning room, with pool and all mod cons etc. in the hills of Cortona for the same amount of money – don’t suffer like we did, look elsewhere. Il Taminto may look good but it really isn’t.
I regret to say that in my opinion, Tim has not been correct with us. His
comments are offensive and not justified.
The swimming pool has always been kept well, and the apartments are in reality
as they appear on the pictures
taken by the airbnb official photographer. There is a kitchenette only in the
smallest apartments. Comments on
our agriturismo have always been positive, Tim has been the only client that
was not satisfied.
I can only hope that the other comments - all of them positive - testify of
the true quality of our house.
Fantastic location spoilt by lack of maintenance and poor presentation, accommodation clean but very minimal. Facilities offered (tennis, bikes, games room, pool, loungers, table and chairs) all seen better days. Sorry would not recommend.
This is a lovely place for holidays on familly. We sapent 10 great days in the beautiful appartment with ou two kids. The pool is great, the place is quiet and you CAN play tennis.
Great place !
We had a nice stay at Tommaso's appartment. The view is great, the swimmingpool is nice en the appartment clean and cosy.
Thank you, Tommaso!
Tommaso's place is remote and mind dazzling. It's simple but it has everything you need. There's a great pool in front of the house. The place easily facilitates five (we were two adults and three children). The evenings here are magical ... no light from any nearby village so the stars are clear and bright, our kids hunted fireflies until deep in the evening. It's close to the ancient city of Gubio (well worth a visit) and close to get to Perugia (where we went to listen to some jazz ;-)). The place is nothing luxurious but it has pretty much what you need. Make sure to shop plenty of food and beverages because there's no shops in the neighbourhood (you have to drive for twenty minutes to get supplies) - and as long as you know, you will be fine! We can for sure recommend this place.
We had a lovely time at Tommaso's farmhouse. It was in a very beautiful part of the Umbrian hillside - a little tough to find first go. The apartment is basic but very clean and functional. Pool was great. Tommaso is a great host who left us some wine and other goodies on arrival which was very welcome after a long day driving.
We had a wonderful stay.
An excellent place with magic view to the mountains. Our room in the guest house was clean, bright and spacious. It was warm enough though we stayed there in winter.
A very warm and friendly hosts. We arrived very late in the night but Tomasso was so polite to meet us on the road. To find Tommaso’s agritourismo first time in the dark is not easy but for your trip you can use next GPS coordinates - (phone number hidden).
Excellent location not only for quiet and relax holidays but also for sightseeing in Umbria (we visited Perugia, Assisi and Gubbio).
Idyllic Umbrian farm stay 30 minutes from the gorgeous Gothic medieval town of Gubbio. Stayed 2 nights in Umbria as a couple in October 2012 and although it was cool so not swimming weather so the pool was covered it was beautiful. Comfortable self contained unit, 20 minute drive to the nearest town with a large supermarket (Coop) to buy groceries. Great walks and amazing sunsets from this hill top farm. Host was great - quick prompt communication via (website hidden). Also provided a complimentary bottle of Lambrusco on arrival which went down well whilst watching the sunset from the verandah. Recommend using the map provided by their personal website as the GPS gets confused! Somewhat remote so best for people with a car and some unsealed and narrow hilly roads to get to the farm.
If you want to spend your holidays in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, reading books, watching the wonderful surroundings,
have a swim in the pool (6 x 12 m), if you had visited some beautiful
italian towns before, like florence, milano, pisa, and now want to
have a combination of activity ( playing tennis, walking around in the nature ) and relaxing days, the farm of Tommaso is the ideal place for you. Some people call it "Il palazzo Tamantino" and I think because
of the generosity of the owners, the space you have for all your needs
and the possibility to wake up without any noise outside , no cars and
the various opportunities how to start the wonderful morning.
We liked this place very much and hope to come back in one of the
