  • This apartment was just as advertised and was spotless. The neighb orhood is quiet and residential with easy access via the subway to both Manhattan and the hipper areas of Brooklyn. I was alone and so the bed size was fine for me. Unable to use the spacious backyard because of the weather.

  • There is a reason that Jeruschka has consistently received great reviews on her place! The apartment is wonderful and she was very easy to deal with. It is clean, quiet, and private. While the place is indeed very small, it has everything you need, including a comfortable bed and nice shower/bathroom. I stayed there for a week of work and will surely be using the place again when I have to return to the city. Highly recommended for one person needing an inexpensive and convenient place to stay in NYC.

  • Like everyone said this was small but clean. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. This is just a few blocks away from the F & G subway lines (and the G seems much better than I remember it being a few years ago). Try Brancaccio's and Hamilton's when in the neighborhood.

  • First Airbnb experience and it was great. The apartment is exactly like the pictures. Cozy, perfect for one person or a couple.

The neighborhood is quiet with a few shops and restaurants within walking distance. The subway to access the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan is only a few minutes walk.

    Overall a very good experience!

  • Very small but adequate place for one person. Was clean and well maintained. Overall a very pleasant place in a nice neighborhood. Thanks so much.

  • Jeruschka apartment was mad convenient. The apartment had everything i needed, clean, is located close to public transit and amenities, and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. The only quibble but not was the different levels (the bedroom and bathroom are a foot or 2 higher then the living area/kitchen) but got use to that after the 2nd day, I stayed 9 days. Pics are true, outdoor area is the bomb. Jeruschka was very communicative and responded quickly to my texts. Icing on the cake would have been meeting my host but oh well. I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

  • Jeruschka's cosy apartment was perfect for an autumn stay in the city. The neighbourhood is really relaxed with easy access to Manhattan and the rest of Brooklyn. We'd definitely stay again...

  • we liked:

    - the neighborhood => specially before halloween, great in the evening
    - the big garden => unusual in this area
    - quiet/safe area
    - very near subway stations by foot
    - easy to have a run in the morning in the famous slope park with its bio-market on sunday at main entrance
    - host easily available by email

    we didn't like:

    - the bed => 1 meter large => for two people it is very unconfortable. Finally I slept on the floor and my wife in the bed (some carpets are available for that ... I think I was not the first one to do that). After 6 nights it is not funny.

  • perfect gem! this little garden apt. had all the amenities i needed and was located just a quick walk from my daughter whom i was visiting. lovely neighbors with a weenie dog "who couldn't be trusted" and a precocious little girl in the garden who chatted me up.
i could hear geese fly overhead, church bells ringing the hour, and a full moon in the early morning (website hidden)eked in the window. i hope jeruschka has room for me next time i come to new york . . .

  • Jeruscha's place is in a great neighborhood and the setting and apartment are wonderful. Her added touches (bathrobe in bathroom, French coffee press, etc.) are fabulous too. It's relatively quiet--the boys next door like to hang out at times and talk loud, but they were not out too late.

It's too bad there isn't room for two in the bed, because I have to go back to NYC next month but this time with my wife. I would love to stay there again.

About
I am originally from Kansas, but have lived in Brooklyn for 16 years. I started doing Airbnb in April of 2011. And I love it. We have met so many people from all parts of the world, whom have different reasons for staying in our private perfectly sized apartment. When people come to visit New York, they already have a purpose for their visit. Therefore, I tend to stay away unless needed. I work long hours and always start early, but do my best to at least make a stop over to say hello.
