Jerushka offers an efficient space for a stay with the bonus of a backyard garden space for conversation. Clever use of old school furniture (literally) gives the place an added charm. We would be happy to stay there again.

Cute place. Seems a lot smaller than the photos but overall a functional space for visiting NYC.

I had a really wonderful stay! I highly recommend this apartment. Easy to get to on the subway from JFK, easy to travel to and from Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn. It's a safe neighborhood, so it feels okay walking the few blocks from the train back to the apartment after 11:00pm. The middle eastern restaurant just a block away (Batata) is amazing, and the coffee at Steeplechase is very good (but don't make this your only NYC bagel experience, because they are much better at other places). Jeruschka is a fantastic host, and check-in was very easy for my late night arrival, and checkout was just as easy. I didn't meet her in person, but she checked in with me regularly via message. If I did need to speak with her in person, she would have been available for me.

Great communication with host. Nice neighborhood with great coffee shops and restaurants nearby. We had a difficult time finding parking during the street cleaning day, but other than that parking was easy.

The location of Jeruschka's place was perfect for where I needed to be. It was close to the park for a a early morning walk and ample places to have a bite to eat. The apt is very tight but ample for one person or two people who like to be cozy. Parking was no problem and the neighborhood was very safe and friendly. I would stay there again.

I am originally from Kansas, but have lived in Brooklyn for 16 years. I started doing Airbnb in April of 2011. And I love it. We have met so many people from all parts of the world, whom have different reasons for staying in our private perfectly sized apartment.
When people come to visit New York, they already have a purpose for their visit. Therefore, we tend to stay away unless needed. We work long hours and always start early, but do my best to at least make a stop over to say hello.
