“Traci’s home is a very special place. It feels private and safe, but also beautifully wild with the incredible displays of nature that surround it. It had everything we needed, and felt clean, modern, comfortable, and well maintained. Traci was a great host, very responsive and easy to work with. We stayed for an extended time, and it was a wonderful experience. We highly recommend.”

The space
An Airbnb Exclusive:
This unique property is situated on 2 acres of unobstructed hillside and canyon. It is located on a Private Road that features several Mid-century Modern case study homes by noteworthy Pasadena Architects.

As you enter the front gate, you walk through a covered corridor of Buddhas. In addition, you are greeted with a succulent garden and the sound of a waterfall.

A sacred Buddha guards the front door, a perfect spot to burn incense and bless all guests who enter. You walk through the front door and head for the covered balcony to get a sense of the location, seclusion and expansive mountain views.

Indoors, you’ll find a cozy Living Room with a gas fireplace, extensive seating and a Smart TV equipped with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. Alexa is equipped to play music for you, just ask “Alexa.”

The dining room has seating for 6, but dining outdoors is our favorite way to enjoy a meal. The BBQ makes cooking outdoors easy & fun, I even cook pizza on the grill! However, if cooking indoors is more your speed, the renovated European Kitchen is fully equipped with Stainless Steel Appliances to cook any kind of meal, make coffee, blend a smoothie and more!

The Master Bedroom is spacious with a California King Bed and has a great view of the mountains. Comfortable Linens and a fluffy comforter ensure a good nights sleep. The open concept closet makes the master bedroom feel like a loft space in the middle of the San Gabriel Mountains. The en-suite bathroom features a modern wall hung toilet, shower and jacuzzi bathtub to soak in and warm you to the core.

The second bedroom is cozy with a Queen bed and Big-screen TV; ready for movie night! An expansive DVD collection is available for your watching pleasure. The guest bath is covered in onyx mosaic tiles with modern wall hung toilet and shower.

My favorite part of the house is the covered balcony! It’s equipped with a double bed is PERFECT for a special night to sleep under the stars. It’s also a great place for meditation and yoga or morning coffee and your laptop.

The outside decks give you a multitude of perspective. The steps made of stone take you down and around the property, giving you access to the many levels of succulent gardens, ponds and Live Oak Trees that adorn this home. You’ll see why I call it my Modern Treehouse! Come experience the rarity of this home & location.

March/April 2021 Review:
“We have stayed in many Air B and B homes, and would rate Traci’s home as the best. We stayed for two months and felt very much “ at home”. Traci is a wonderful host, responding immediately to any issues. The kitchen is well stocked. The indoor living spaces are very comfortable and decorated beautifully. The outdoor spaces are perfect for enjoying the beautiful view and tranquil setting. We look forward to returning.” - Amy

Hello, I am a creative person who appreciates architecture, design, film, nature, the arts and a zen peaceful pad. An Artist in Residence here since 2004 but living in the area since relocating from the Eastcoast in the mid eighties. This 1954, Mid-Century Modern case study home is simply spacious yet, cozy. A secluded ,Magical, Peaceful Retreat. Located on a Private Road, surrounded by Nature and Wildlife. A rare gem that I have enjoyed since 2004, and now I offer this experience to you to Enjoy. Let’s discuss your plans. History of PASADENA: The Crown of the Valley. Thanks to the Rose Bowl, the annual Tournament of Roses Parade and Caltech, PasadenA May be one of the most familiar city names in Southern California. Tucked into the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains 10 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles (DTLA), is known and treasured for its wide boulevards, urban forest of some 123,000 trees, impressive architecture and sensational restaurants. In 1873, a portion of Rancho San Pasqual was sold to a group of investors from Indianapolis. It was incorporated as “Indiana Colony “ in 1874, later changing its name to Pasadena, a word meaning valley in the Ojibwa ( Chippewa) language. The city of Pasadena was incorporated in 1886. The first Tournament of Roses Parade was held in 1890, and each year about a million visitors line the streets of Pasadena to see the magnificent flower-covered floats. The California Institute of Technology ( Caltech) was founded in 1891 as a prep and vocational school. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) ;actually located in adjacent LaCanada Flintridge, grew out of Caltech and is today managed for NASA by Caltech Personnel. The city’s character was influenced significantly by brothers Charles and Henry Green, who established their architectural firm, Greene & Greene, in Pasadena in 1894. Their magnificent “bungalows “, including the now iconic Gamble House, set high bar for architectural design. Today, the city maintains a strong focus on its design heritage along with a vibrant historic center and a rich commercial landscape.o
