Come and visit this truly magical area
Elle is a traditional Romany Bow Top Window and Door style Gypsy Caravan. Built on an original dray with traditional gun carriage wheels. Built for a Romany by a Romany and taken to Appleby Horse Fair by its previous owner three years ago. Sleeps two.
There is an original "Queenie" stove that the gypsies used for heating and cooking. We supply the first fire full of charcoal.
Outside there is a charcoal burning fire pit where you can light a fire, and sit and gaze at the stars.
And watch the sunset over the Lizard Peninsular.
Elle is available for long or short breaks.
Adjacent to the Bow Top wagon is a traditional caravan with further facilities, that include:
A bed for the over six foot traveller
A cooker, fridge, table and seating.
A flushing toilet. Sorry no wet wipes!
Both wagons have electricity and electric or gas heating.
Bedding and towels are included
Electricity, water and gas are included.
Your first bag of charcoal is included
Not far from the wagon is a shower in a horsebox! The shower is hot and continuos. An experience not to be missed. Seeing is believing! The shower facilities are shared with other travellers.
There is also a composting toilet near the horse box shower.
July and August. We have a minimum of two nights for bookings during July and August over the weekends. All other nights can be booked individually

Interaction with Guests
We always have helpers available to help out with any questions you may have.
There are some great pubs and restaurants close by. We recommend the Five Pilchards for lunch and evening meals. We also recommend Fat Apples Cafe for breakfast and lunch. There are a large number of other eating places that we can recommend when you are here.
Public transport is to St. Keverne. This is non existent on Sundays. To travel here by train and bus, will bring you to St. Keverne. From St. Keverne we are one mile along a public footpath.
If you come by public transport, take a train to Camborne, and bus to Helston, for ease of travel it could be recommended that you take a taxi from Helston to our door!
We are almost as far south west as you can travel without going into the sea!
An area of unspoilt natural beauty.

Thank you Jonathan for such a fabulous, cosy and unique experience; great attention to detail with fast and easy communication. We wish we could have stayed longer! Would love to stay again!
Wow! What a place and what a find. We felt so lucky to have found this place - we're defintely coming back!
Sadly we never got to meet Jonathan but James was on hand to check us in and show us around. It was like a private getaway location.
Elle was so cute! We must have taken about 30 photos and Instagrammed it to death! We even forgot we had a caravan next to us for our cooking, dining and bathroom facilities - that was such a bonus.
Nothing prepares you for what a fantastic location this is, so people really are in for such a treat when they come to stay here.
Such a cool experience! Loved the set up, it made for a fun night away & had everything you needed with the wagon to sleep in plus a service caravan with toilet, kitchen & space to relax. Would visit again.
We didn't manage to meet Jonathan as we arrived really really late in the evening - close to midnight, which was a pity as the place and the location is amazing! I had intended for it to be a surprise for my partner and he was really over the moon when we got there and he realised where we are staying the night. He said it all looked and felt like a fairytale (and you don't really hear that from guys).
The setting is great, we really enjoyed the shower as well!
I didn't manage to thank Jonathan for the instructions on how to get there, they were really helpful - make sure you follow them or you will get lost and with barely any signal finding your way can be difficult.
We felt very welcomed, and were shown all the lovely sections of the space. The sun was still out so there was time for a walk down to the beach!
Beautiful little caravan with a really charming original stove - it was so cozy and romantic, my boyfriend and I loved it here, and I fulfilled my childhood dream of staying in a Gypsy caravan! Lots of great routes for walkers, really relaxing and just a gorgeous location on the Lizard, pubs not so great in the walkable area so it's worth investigating where to eat before you go as not a lot was open on the Sunday we were there. We were pretty much left to our own devices which we were more than happy than happy with, but for others who might want a more interactive escape it might not be for them, but if you want peace, romance and a beautiful location then definitely book!

About the Host, Jonathan
I live on the Lizard peninsular, as I find this area one of the most inspirational in the UK. I am an artist/builder who creates spaces of light and beauty. My aim is to welcome you into a dwelling for your pleasure and relaxation. I enjoy using ideas of times passed and endeavor to achieve an ‘other worldliness’ in my work.
I spend my time in constant contemplation of the next project in mind. Other than that you can find me enjoying music and dance, or Cornish coastal walking with my partner and dog.
