About this listing
This lovely West Town 2BR is perfect for a romantic getaway, a summer crash pad or a bookish retreat! Located on the top floor of a 3rd floor walk-up on a quiet residential street, just a few blocks away from bars, shops and restaurants.
This apt is in the rear of building away from street, so incredibly quiet and peaceful with tons of natural sunlight. High ceilings, large windows, vintage furnishings, open floor plan with two bedrooms, one off the kitchen with a twin bed and 2nd bedroom off of the living room with a queen bed. The apt can fit up to 4 people with 2 on the queen, 1 on the twin and the fourth guest on an air mattress that fits in either twin room or living room.
I'm a big traveler and collector of treasures, so you will find the apt decorated with an eclectic array of vintage furnishings! A decorative Victorian couch, a lobster pot for a coffee table, an array of instruments for your use, and a sturdy record player with a fast-growing collection of records (particular exciting for the folk and classic rock fan)
There is a small back porch (accessible by a low window) that leads down to a back patio and garden, complete with fire pit AND grill. Perfect in the summertime.
Close to museums, Loop (15 min bus ride, 1 hr walk) 15 min walk to Blue Line. In a quiet neighborhood nook of West Town, great bars, restaurants, public library, vintage shops, pie place, etc all within a 5 minute walk. And Union Park which hosts the Pitchfork Festival is a 15 min walk away!
Perfect for an artistic retreat, bookish getaway, or a comfy crash pad after a day exploring Chicago architecture!
Wifi Internet, plenty of free street parking, good coffee, host on hand by cell should you need anything!
The entire apt is yours. The kitchen is well-stocked with amenities and you are welcome to use anything you require to make your stay more pleasant. The backyard is shared by the building's 5 other tenants, who are all friendly and welcoming should you run into anyone at the fire pit.
Interaction with Guests
If I am out of town I will be reachable by cell or email, and will leave you the contact info of my neighbor across the hall should you need anything immediately during your stay. If I am in town, I will be nearby should anything occur or reachable by cell if you need to know the good coffee shop!
It's a quiet residential neighborhood, tucked a few blocks in on each side from 4 exciting main drags. Chicago ave a mere 3 blocks away has lots of great restaurants, bars, a homemade pie shop, library, walgreens, taco joints, boutiques etc . I've lived here 4 years after living in 3 other neighborhoods and it's by far my favorite. Very close to downtown and remarkably easy to get around via the bus system on all the main roads nearby.
The Chicago, Grand, Damen and Ashland buses are all frequent and a couple to a few blocks away. The Blue line is a 15 min walk away, I like to rely on the buses because they are so close and come every 5-8 minutes. There is free parking on the street if you drove. It is an easy jaunt from OHare on the Blue Line, I am happy to give you directions from either airport when you book. Cabs downtown run around $10, and cab to Ohare is about $40.
Other Things to Note

Christine is great and lovely person! She is so friendly, nice and kind. we had excellent contact with Her. Her apartment is awsome, has an amazing atmosphere and it resounds in Frank Zappa :) cozy, warm and has absulutnie everything you need. thank you!
Christine's was a brilliant place to say - the apartment was lovely and really beautifully decorated, in a nice neighbourhood with plenty of places to eat and it was easily accessible from the city. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Chicago.
Our stay at Christine's place was wonderful! Christine met us when we got there, she was very friendly and gave us a tour of the place and also gave us some suggestions nearby before leaving. The apartment itself is definitely charming, I loved how it was decorated and I loved all the lights she put around the place. The beds were really cozy and comfy as well!
The location was perfect for getting around to all the downtown/touristy areas. We couldn't have picked a more perfect neighborhood for our first time in Chicago. Bus stops are a short walk and most of our Uber rides to and from the apartment were always less than $10. The neighborhood was quiet, which was a nice thing to come back to after a long day/night of walking.
Make sure to try Asado Coffee nearby! There's a bus stop literally right in front that will take you all the way down to Navy Pier. Goose Island Brewery is also a short walk from the place.
It was a fun neighborhood, very convenient to move around the city in public transportation. The place is beautiful and we had a great time.
Charming apartment on a quiet leafy street, close to hip areas with restaurants and great coffee. We had a lovely stay and Christine was an attentive host. We couldn't have chosen better.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Christina's house is extremely inviting and tidy, and it is filled with vintage charm and warm light. Her house is centrally located so it was easy for us to venture out and hop on the blue line to the city. Christina have us some great recommendations too. We hope to be back again in the near future.
Christine Stulik has a lovely Chicago apartment, picturesque to the bold uniqueness of the City. Even in our last minute request to find a space for the night, the accommodations were more than satisfactory and fulfilled my brother and I's need for rest. I am very thankful to Christine for sharing her home, and absolutely recommend her for anyone who wishes to experience the hidden treasures of Chicago.

About the Host, Christine
I have lived in Chicago for 12 years after moving from the East Coast and absolutely love this city. I work as an actor and travel quite frequently. I have a penchant for vintage and antiques, so you will find the apartment full of character. Happy to share my recommendations for dining, shopping, nightlife, and weird and different local favorites for your stay. As a traveler, I favor mountains over cities, but have had a blast in Istanbul, Tokyo, and Berlin to name a few.
I have been hosting now for 3 years and couldn't have had better experiences each and every time. It has been a true pleasure, and I look forward to meeting you should you book my place!
