Reggio-Emilia isn't for everybody, because it doesn't really have any monuments or buildings to see (although it is the birthplace of the modern Italian flag), but it's a clean, upscale city with friendly people and good food, and seems to be a great place to visit if you just want so see a normal city and practice Italian with the locals. Leo and Marcella were fantastic hosts, and I had a great time with them. Would love to go back.
A wonderful and quaint place to stay In Reggio Emilia, highly recommend it, very spacious room with all that one would need, quiet, great location in the old part of town, Marcella and Leopoldo are extremely friendly and very helpful!
