Who WE are:
We Started Bridge Seal B&B in April of 2012. We wanted to create an arts-centric destination, by carefully curating our 3 bedroom apartment into a 2 unit Bed & Breakfast. We started slow and by the end of 2012, we have hosted over 300 travelers from all over the world.
I am a full-time visual artist. To learn more, search "Jsun Laliberte". I am also a 3rd generation ceramic artist. There's hand-made pottery all over the space! In a not-so-distant past, I was also a Sommelier at one of the best and most highly rated "farm-to-table" restaurants in Manhattan. True Hospitality and knowing how to make guests feel welcome are things I know so very well :)
She is a professional artist as well. Both of us have separate studio practices, so we can keep the mess out...! Kara is also a curator, art critic and an editor, so the conversations are always exciting!
And we have a new puppy! :) His name is Lono. He's a Samoyed/Eskimo mix, so he is very hypoallergenic. I have Asthma, Kara has bad allergies, and he does not affect us at all. He lives in our bedroom or his crate. He has NO access to the guest room! We do encourage guests to interact and play with him, just please do NOT feed him human food!
Whether you are traveling partner, a couple on vacation, someone extending a business trip, or someone looking to host your family while they are visiting you-- we get you :)
During your stay, look forward to pleasant chat around the kitchen table. We can always help you find the best shops, the best food, the best art exhibitions, the best walks, the best cocktails, the quickest subway route, and best insider deals around!
We care about with whom we share our home . A good fit makes your stay amazing and our experience as hosts equally rewarding! We always give preference to civilized, pleasant and respectful people. We will not accept inquiries from partiers looking to pound beers at the kitchen table until 4am... We do our fair share of entertaining, but we keep it classy! ;)
(This current rate reflects NY sales tax of 8.875% included. We have been hosting successfully and continuously since March of 2012. Having enjoyed our experience as hosts, we have stepped up and have become fully legitimate and registered with the state. We are also fully insured.)
All together, everyone here is pretty awesome! Every person who's ever stayed here has left with an amazing fondness for 78 South 6th street!
All the best and we hope to meet you soon,
Jsun & Kara

Kara has been a long-time yogi. If you are into yoga, she has a lot of experience with several studios in the neighborhood and Manhattan.
Come and go as you like.
Feel free to say "hi" to neighbors.
Flexible Check-ins & outs are OK, just coordinate with us.
Jsun's place was awesome! The room and apartment itself is cozy and clean. The bed is very comfy :) It's located in nice and quiet area in Williamsburg with lots of restaurants, and bars within walking distance. We enjoyed strolling around the neighborhood, if you walk bit more, there are streets with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. It's also close to metro station(huge point)! Jsun and Kara are very nice, friendly, and easy to communicate with. My friend and I really enjoyed staying at Jsun's place. I'll def come back here. Seriously, you can't beat the price and location! :)
We had an really good stay there, the apartment is clean and cosy. Jsun and Kara are very kind and great hosts, very helpful when you need anything! The area is really good where they live in, we liked it alot, its close to lots of nice spots. I would really recommend staying with Jsun and Kara, who are truly good hosts.
It was such a pleasure to stay with Jsun and Kara, who are as gracious and welcoming as hosts can be. They have been in the area for several years now and were happy to recommend a lot of great places to shop and dine, which helped to enhance my experience.
The space is a must for any artist who is looking to get work done during their visit and the building is in a great part of the neighborhood (notable for its proximity to the Williamsburg Bridge pedestrian path). It has all the character and charm one doesn't get staying at a hotel.
I highly recommend staying with Jsun and Kara, who are truly professional BnB hosts.

Jsun has kindly explained how the need to navigate to the hostel. In addition, they have a very appropriate precautions for when not at home when he is a guest. Whether or not the host home, guests can check in at any time very convenient.
The room was fantastic. Jsun 2 bunk beds are designed in direct production is conveniently able to take advantage of the space well, a desk and a bed upstairs and downstairs will enable the romantic and practical accommodation. In late January of heating in New York was able to stay warm enough to wear short-sleeved, double curtains, including lighting and blackout curtains you can adjust the brightness enables a perfect life on personal preference. The living room has comfortable sofas and neatly organized kitchen, and you are free to use them all.
Also, the breakfast was with Jsun and Kara ... and made us comfortable and enjoyable conversation, Jsun gave it serves coffee. The host is very friendly and people with an open mind.
The rooms where it takes about 5 minutes walk from Marcy Av Station, a 24-hour Deli and located near to the operating Pub dawn and Baby's allright Brooklyn this unique club is located next to two blocks, such as listening to music and drink located in a great environment for guests who want to. If there is more work to go to New York and then on, it will first consider a house without hesitation.
If you are considering a house, I strongly recommend this house.
Apartment is nice and clean. Location in Williamsburg is great, close to the subway and quick commute into Manhattan. Hosts are happy for you to use their kitchen and they have great utensils if you wish to do so. Although we did feel this was more of a business, with two rooms available for airbnb in their apartment. Overall we felt welcome in their home.
Lisa & Joel were great guests!
We are registered with NYC as a bed & breakfast under the name "Bridge Seal" and actually pay our taxes (unlike 99% of NYC host). Indeed we are professional in that. Airbnb allows us, as artists, to stay in Williamsburg despite skyrocketing rents.
I had a great stay with Jsun! He was very polite and accommodating, the space was perfectly clean, organized and in a great location. Would definitely recommend!
Jsun was great! Very welcoming and helpful, definitely made our NYC experience a lot better! Thanks for the great hospitality!

Other than being an AirBnB host, I am a full-time visual artist. I create large-scale, colorful, abstract paintings. My paintings seldom get installed at the house because of their size. I am also a 3rd generation ceramic artist. Much of the cups you will drink from have been made by me or my family!
My girlfriend, Kara, is a professional artist as well. Both of us have separate studio practices, so we can keep the mess out...! Kara is also a curator, art critic and an editor, so the art can change from time to time :)
We both do a lot of running, so if you are a runner, we have a lot of great routes for you to explore the city and neighborhoods with. Kara has been a long-time yogi. If you are into yoga, she has a lot of experience with several studios in the neighborhood and Manhattan.
We both have a wealth of overall knowledge of the neighborhood and the city!
