Who WE are:
We Started Bridge Seal B&B in April of 2012. We wanted to create an arts-centric destination, by carefully curating our 3 bedroom apartment into a 2 unit Bed & Breakfast. We started slow and by the end of 2012, we have hosted over 300 travelers from all over the world.
I am a full-time visual artist. To learn more, search "Jsun Laliberte". I am also a 3rd generation ceramic artist. There's hand-made pottery all over the space! In a not-so-distant past, I was also a Sommelier at one of the best and most highly rated "farm-to-table" restaurants in Manhattan. True Hospitality and knowing how to make guests feel welcome are things I know so very well :)
She is a professional artist as well. Both of us have separate studio practices, so we can keep the mess out...! Kara is also a curator, art critic and an editor, so the conversations are always exciting!
And we have a new puppy! :) His name is Lono. He's a Samoyed/Eskimo mix, so he is very hypoallergenic. I have Asthma, Kara has bad allergies, and he does not affect us at all. He lives in our bedroom or his crate. He has NO access to the guest room! We do encourage guests to interact and play with him, just please do NOT feed him human food!
Whether you are traveling partner, a couple on vacation, someone extending a business trip, or someone looking to host your family while they are visiting you-- we get you :)
During your stay, look forward to pleasant chat around the kitchen table. We can always help you find the best shops, the best food, the best art exhibitions, the best walks, the best cocktails, the quickest subway route, and best insider deals around!
We care about with whom we share our home . A good fit makes your stay amazing and our experience as hosts equally rewarding! We always give preference to civilized, pleasant and respectful people. We will not accept inquiries from partiers looking to pound beers at the kitchen table until 4am... We do our fair share of entertaining, but we keep it classy! ;)
(This current rate reflects NY sales tax of 8.875% included. We have been hosting successfully and continuously since March of 2012. Having enjoyed our experience as hosts, we have stepped up and have become fully legitimate and registered with the state. We are also fully insured.)
All together, everyone here is pretty awesome! Every person who's ever stayed here has left with an amazing fondness for 78 South 6th street!
All the best and we hope to meet you soon,
Jsun & Kara

We both do a lot of running, so if you are a runner, we have a lot of great routes for you to explore the city and neighborhoods with.
Kara has been a long-time yogi. If you are into yoga, she has a lot of experience with several studios in the neighborhood and Manhattan.
Come and go as you like.
Feel free to say "hi" to neighbors.
Flexible Check-ins & outs are OK, just coordinate with us.
Jsun and Kara's apartment was exactly as advertised and they were warm, welcoming and lovely hosts. NYC is our favourite city and Brooklyn was an excellent place to stay...Stevie Wonder was our reason to drive from Nova Scotia to NY and it was well worth it!
Thank you Jsun and Kara!
Location, location, location! Just great when you want to explore and experience Williamsburg.
Cozy apartment, cozy loft. With a great matrace. It can get a little hot up there, though. Opening a window was not really an option, as you will hear the train and also the club from across the street. I used ear plugs, my partner did not and we both slept really well. I appreciated the working space in the room as I actually had to a little home office. Interaction with the hosts was on a professional, friendly, casual hi and bye basis. We did however enjoy some international, interesting conversation with other guests (one more room is rented out on airbnb). Jsun is a pro at hosting airbnb guests, so you will find a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Oh, and the best feature of the place: definitely the dog. So so friendly and cute.
Thank you Stefanie! We had a great time sharing our space with you! Thanks for the heads up about the temp (nobody in NY really sleeps with windows open :) So, even though it's still in the 40-50s at night (in April), we have put the A/C back in for future guests to have total control.
Great stay! Hosts were super hospitable and location was great.
Thanks for having us in your apartment!the room was exactly as described, very bright and comfortable.we had a warm and easy welcome!
We would definitely come back since it's Jsun is very tolerant and funny and it is a perfect location for exploring Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Jsun and Kara are great hosts! They were very welcoming and they made me feel very comfortable. The accommodations were spotless and I would definitely stay there again!
Jsun and Kara were wonderful. Their instructions were easy to follow and it was very easy to share an apartment with them. They made me feel very at home for which I was very appreciative.
Jsun's place was awesome! The room and apartment itself is cozy and clean. The bed is very comfy :) It's located in nice and quiet area in Williamsburg with lots of restaurants, and bars within walking distance. We enjoyed strolling around the neighborhood, if you walk bit more, there are streets with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. It's also close to metro station(huge point)! Jsun and Kara are very nice, friendly, and easy to communicate with. My friend and I really enjoyed staying at Jsun's place. I'll def come back here. Seriously, you can't beat the price and location! :)

Other than being an AirBnB host, I am a full-time visual artist. I create large-scale, colorful, abstract paintings. My paintings seldom get installed at the house because of their size. I am also a 3rd generation ceramic artist. Much of the cups you will drink from have been made by me or my family!
My girlfriend, Kara, is a professional artist as well. Both of us have separate studio practices, so we can keep the mess out...! Kara is also a curator, art critic and an editor, so the art can change from time to time :)
We both do a lot of running, so if you are a runner, we have a lot of great routes for you to explore the city and neighborhoods with. Kara has been a long-time yogi. If you are into yoga, she has a lot of experience with several studios in the neighborhood and Manhattan.
We both have a wealth of overall knowledge of the neighborhood and the city!
We have a new puppy. His name is Lono. He's a special Eskimo/Samoyed mix. He has a hair undercoat, so he is very hypoallergenic. I have Asthma, Kara has bad allergies, and he does not affect us at all. He lives in our bedroom or his crate. He has NO access to the guest room. He loves all people, such a mushy, just please do NOT feed him human food. Everyone falls in love with this little guy.
