Check in was a little bumpy. We arrived a little early and he wasn't able to check us in so he sent a friend who was 1 1/2 hours later than we originally agreed on. Communication was tricky at times. Other than that the apartment was great. Very clean, modern and spacious and worth the money. We enjoyed the neighborhood. It's very lively, especially at night. Some good bars, boutiques and restaurants and walking distance to Rome Center.
We never actually met Pietro (getting the key from a nearby restaurant, but he was great to deal with over the phone and very friendly. The apartment was in a totally perfect location, though a little noisy (not surprising since it was right in the middle of the action in Trastevere) at night, probably like most apartments around there. It's an older building, but clean and modern inside- nicely renovated. Most of the furniture seems to be from Ikea, so it will be familiar to many people. It was more than enough space for the two of us- quite large! There is no wi-fi included, and the thick walls meant that we also had relatively weak phone reception (with a sim card from TIM), but that was not much a problem, since we were basically only there at night. Those were just small points that the host can't really control, otherwise great!
Quite possibly the best location to be in Rome, the heart of Trastevere, where there are great bars, shopping and restaurants only a stones throw away including a great cafe right at your doorstep. Be warned those who wish to explore Rome in the early morning and be in bed by 10 pm: this neighbourhood never sleeps! And shutters in the apartment hardly keep the noise out at peak party hours.
The apartment itself is perfect for two, but sleeps four comfortably. It has a simple set up and is kept very clean, but don't try showering in the tub as this always left the bathroom floor/walls wet no matter what we tried. And if you plan to make use of their laundry machine be prepared to get creative when hanging to dry, as there is no clothes line available. Other than these minor imperfections we really enjoyed our stay and fell in love with the neighbourhood.
Pietro's apartment was lovely, and in a great location in Rome.
Very nice place and the A/C is key during the hot summer months
Great apartment in a great place!
Air conditioning is a real advantage in August.
We stay here for a week with our 2 years old girl and we were not bother by the street noise thanks to the double glazing windows.
Everything is nice here. Location is great - just across the river and you're close to all the points you'd like to approach. And this marvelous picturesque embankment...
Apartment is comfortable for two pairs or for parents and one/two children. Kitchen is cosy and clean, bathroom is big.
The only problem is that house stand right in the middle of the every night party. Funny sometimes... I would recommend to rent this apartment for young audience who prefers to go to bed late))))
Otherwise you can close the windows and sleep.
It was a great experience staying at Pietro's appartamento in Trastevere. It is very well located... Travestere is the nicest part of the whole city and you can go to the historic center without taking any bus or tram. The appartment was very clean and comfortable. We liked it very much! We really can recommend the appartment!!! Thank you, Pietro!
