About this listing
We welcome you to our three-bedroom town house in eastern Beijing, furnished in a western style with stylish Chinese touches. Our home offers a serene and peaceful environment. Stay in comfort in a beautiful and spacious ensuite room with wireless internet, TV, DVD player and air-conditioning.
We will supply you with bedding, towels and you can use our computer if you'd prefer not to bring your own. You're free to make use of our living room and kitchen, which has things you won't find in most Chinese kitchens, including a drip coffee maker and toaster. You're welcome to enjoy the provided continental breakfast of fresh coffee, orange juice, toast and jam, which you can take in the garden or on the roof terrace when the weather is good!
Far from the madding crowd, yet close enough that you can enjoy all that Beijing has to offer, the house is located in Tongzhou, an eastern suburb of Beijing, close to the historic Grand Canal. It's in a peaceful gated community with a supermarket. Getting to Beijing's CBD takes 25 minutes by car when the traffic is good, and we're a 10-minute taxi ride from the nearest subway station. There is a subway map in the photos so you can see exactly where we are on the system. We can organise a driver for you if you wish!
We're congenial hosts, both long-term residents of Beijing, and also run Beijing Photo Walks, so we're ideally placed to offer you advice on places to see, how to get around, and the myriad of other questions you'll probably have about this amazing city!
Myself and my boyfriend Andrew are in our early thirties and both from the UK (but we're long-term expats in China). We love travelling and meeting new people. When he's not busy saving the world and I'm not photographing it, that is!
We're both incredibly busy doing our multiple jobs (English teacher/actor/martial artist/tour guide/photographer/entrepreneur!) and therefore are really excited about our upcoming trips to Hong Kong and Malaysia/Singapore/Thailand!
We're quiet and respectful of our hosts, their time and of course their property, and hope you'll show us the same respect if you choose to stay with us :-).
