Situated in the midst of the picturesque Tuscan Vineyards this countryside villa by the name of Poggio A Lupo offers plenty of space for a family or group of friends. It's also just a 15-20 min drive from Siena!
Going by the name of Poggio al Lupo (Hill of the wolves) and situated 12km south of Siena in the middle of picturesque vineyards this 19th century-villa/country-maisonette comprises 6 large and bright rooms. All rooms are nicely furnished and based on two floors. They can sleep up to 7-8 people.
Even though wolves do not roam the Tuscan countryside anymore the area surrounding Poggio al Lupo is still as untouched, full of vineyards and olive groves as it used to be decades ago.
The living space includes a converted Cantina (former wine cellar) with large living room, a summer kitchen (with dish-washer) and two bathrooms (with washing machine), one extra toilet, courtyard, a garden and surrounding forest.
Poggio A Lupo is to be let from Mid March until November on a weekly basis. The massive stone walls make for a very comfortable climate inside the house without the need for A/C, even in the hottest time of the year.
You can find cool rivers, lakes and hot thermal springs in the vicinity. Renting a car or bringing your own is advised.

This property has been in our family and well looked after for over 20 years. We feel the interior design, furniture and gardens reflect this.
With the help of guests over the years we put together a guide book about the many activities, Restaurants, sights and shops to buy Tuscan delights (such as Truffles, Finocchiona, Olive Oil, Wines etc) in the area. Nevertheless we will be more than happy to personally assist you in planning your stay at Poggio Al Lupo.
Please be advised that Poggio Al Lupo does not have central heating. With thick Tuscan walls and a cold winter this can lead to uncomfortable temperatures from October - March. There is only one wood-fired stove and 2 gas heaters. Guests are advised to bring warm clothing if travelling in these months.
The front garden ahead of the pergola (the garden to the right belongs to our friendly neighbour Daniele). Walking around the left of the house you can find another part of our garden. The garden around the back of the house does not belong to the propoerty.

You're welcome to call if you have any questions.
Other things to note
Please note that the Wifi may not always work like the broadband you're used to from home. It's a 4G router but sometimes the connection may be slower than that.
