Sophia and Gibbs were tremendously welcoming. They arranged a taxi to collect me from the airport, provide a SIM card to get around, and gave me pointers whenever I needed so. Despite being very busy, I enjoyed our interactions and can only recommend others to stay here!
Gabe and Sophia are totally awesome. They really made me feel like home, and we became friends. Went out to eat, met their friends, and had nice conversations.
I highly recommend them, and would definitely go back. They are also located in westlands, near the national museum, and many other attractions, Nairobi night life, and so on. Also they were always helpful in guiding me around. The house is warm and rustic as described. On top of this they have a biweekly cleaning Service, which you can also get your laundry done, your room cleaned. 5 stars out of 5! Thank you guys for the great hospitality.
I absolutely LOVED staying with Sophia in Nairobi. I was in town for a 2 week business trip and wanted to stay someplace close to offices and also close to restaurants and shopping. I WALKED to both several meetings and social events - Amazing location! Second the INTERNET WAS FAST enough to watch the Blacklist on Sophia's Hulu Plus. The apartment is beautifully designed as you can see in the photos. It was kept very clean by frequent cleaners. I was able to always have washed clothes and sheets. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the security was very tight and completely safe. Most importantly Sophia and Gabe are wonderful people and wonderful hosts - truly made me feel at home in Nairobi.
5 Stars!!!! I look forward to returning!
A friend recommended this place, and Sophia was so welcoming and helpful during my week long visit to Nairobi. She provided a very comfortable room/bed and she helped me figure out the neighborhood, taxis and Java House. Her very clean and secure place was also indeed warm, quiet and restful. Internet worked well. My favorite part was our conversations in her living room, discussing our cultures, work, Nairobi, the world... I hope to stay connected!
Sophia was most welcoming upon my arrival and throughout my stay with her. She arranged transport to her place, and offered for me join her for dinner the night I arrived. She arranged a couple of tourist activities to the giraffe center and elephant orphanage, and then met me for coffee in downtown Nairobi before walking with me through a local market. Every detail of her home was fantastic, and it was just wonderful to be with a host so kind and willing to share her knowledge of Africa.
I would HIGHLY. recommend her as a local host in Nairobi and know you will not be disappointed. She was a great introduction to the country's amazing people.
Sophia has a truly wonderful home and is a very warm and welcoming host. The room is very nice and spacious with room to work if you need it. This is an especially safe place to stay in Nairobi too, and a great location within Westlands, very close to the National Museums. I had a fantastic stay here, and Sophia was extremely nice and friendly!
Sophia is a great host and the apartment is superbly located..
The interiors are exactly how they look, warm and homey. Very African of course, is a pleasant apartment to be in, in a safe area with many amenities close by.
Sophia is a lovely young lady ready to help you in case you need anything! I strongly recommend the apartment and her company!
