We spent one night at Jennifer's place and it was wonderful. She was super helpful with any questions we had and her suggestions made our short trip feel like a real getaway. The location of her place is incredible and close to everything we wanted to get into while visiting. We brought our bikes with us and used it as our main mode of transportation once we arrived. I'm still having dreams about the hammock I took a nap on in her yard. Will definitely try and come back to stay with her and her family on my next quick wknd escape from the city.
Jennifer and her family were very kind! The house is huge and loved how she decorated the house. Especially loved the swing and the hammock in the backyard!
Really beautiful place and kind host!!! Loved the house, loved having breakfast with such nice view!!! Abraham was very nice and helpfull, a great host!!! Wish we could spend more time there!! We definetly recommend it!!!
This was my second time staying with Jennifer, Abraham, and the kids. Once again, it was a wonderful experience. Jennifer could not have been more accommodating - even providing an overnight place for our bikes. And having coffee and muffins ready for us at 7:30A was an added bonus, especially before a long (60 miles!!) bike journey. It's also great sharing travel stories with Jennifer.
Jennifer and her family were delightful hosts! They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. Their beautiful Victorian home was comfortable and cozy and packed with history. We enjoyed roaming the property, which was teeming with wildlife including a family of deer. Our time spent there was relaxing and truly enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you Jennifer and family for a wonderful time!
Jennifer was awesome and the house was spectacular. We came in late and she was very accomodating. In the morning, she had coffee, orange juice and pastries ready.
Admittedly, at first we were a bit put off by the room we had - but that didn't last long. The weather was perfect and the breeze blowing into the room cooled it down substantially and we slept really well. The room ended up having some treasures - antique furniture, small plates for jewelry and other stuff.
There were 3 bathrooms considerately outfitted with some shampoo, shower gel and towels. Another couple was there too, and we never ran into each other except at breakfast.
The house had a front porch and a back courtyard, and we chilled for hours on the porch looking out on the beautiful, well-kept grounds. The house was pretty "hidden"...the only sounds were crickets and a rooster crowing in the morning. Jen also had wifi, so we could bring our electronics with us. We really didn't need them, as there was plenty to read about Mattituck and we all shared the New York Times in the mornings.
Jen guided us with our Wine Country visit. She had a map of the area and underlined the vineyards she thought were worthwhile to visit. Jen really made us feel at home.
We would give Jennifer and her home the highest ratings. What a beautiful, relaxing experience!

I am a full time Physical Therapist, mother of a girl, 16 and boy, 11. My husband and I weekend at the end of Long Island where we grow a veggie garden, have 2 chickens and try to keep our house as green as possible with our solar panels, windturbine and geothermal unit.
