Jennifer was wonderful throughout the whole airbnb process! She was very responsive leading up to our weekend stay, and checking in was easy. My fiance and I were going to a wedding 30 mins away, so she provided helpful cab numbers. The house is spacious, quiet, and homey. Jennifer provides breakfast the next day! We had a great time!
Jennifer's house is great; quiet, beautiful and clean. This place was a huge score. Jennifer was super friendly and welcoming. After a few minutes it felt like we were catching up with an old friend. There was plenty of private parking and the house was easy to find. I highly recommend the hammock in the backyard and the sitting for a bit on the front porch. In our brief time there was saw rabbits and deer in the yard--things you don't see everyday in Brooklyn. We loved Mattituck and are already thinking about our next trip. Thanks Jennifer!
Jennifer was there to greet us and was easily accessible by text for the rest of our stay. Neighborhood was great, about a 1 mile walk from the LIRR. Easy walk to a winery from her house. FYI there is no AC, but we had a ceiling fan and opened all the windows for a nice cross breeze. That being said, we slept with only the sheet, I could see it being a little to warm in July and August, but maybe not. House was huge, nice clean rooms, 2 bathrooms, a nice big yard, and a light breakfast, including OJ, coffee, grapes, toast with butter and jam and muffins. We slept in the double room, very quiet and relaxing place. We borrowed Jennifer's bikes and took off for the day visiting Love Lane, 3 wineries, pace's dockside, and a farm. The following day we hoped back on the LIRR and went to Greenport for the day. We did all of this without a car, however you would have to be physically fit for this option. It was a great getaway for us coming in from NYC and we would be happy to stay here again!
Jennifer made us feel very welcome in her lovely house. The location was perfect- minutes from downtown and many wineries. We were only there one night but the accommodations were perfect and beds comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
My husband and I had a lovely Memorial Day weekend in Mattituck! It was the perfect base from which to explore the North Fork - we took the train to Greenport, visited wineries and picnicked on the beach. All of this we did without a car and Jennifer was super helpful in giving us directions and recommendations, even lending us bikes on one of the days. The house was as pictured, a beautiful old home, clean and quiet. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and laying in the hammock - we felt very welcome and it was the perfect, low-key escape from the city.
Thank you, Jennifer, for a lovely weekend! The house was beautiful. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our glasses of wine. The room was very comfortable. I would definitely be interested in coming back.
