  • We had an incredible time at Suzanne's beautiful place! Her condo is in an ideal location--only a few minute walk away from Whistler Village, which made coming back and forth from skiing all day very easy! The free parking in front of the condo was a big perk! The room and accompanying bathroom is spacious, private, quiet, and clean! It was great to have access to the kitchen before we hit the slopes as well. Though we personally did not get to meet Suzanne, she made sure that we were taken care of. Her friend met us at the condo and then proceeded to give us a tour of the village and helped us with any questions that arose during our stay. This is the ideal place to stay if you're heading up to Whistler! We highly recommend it, and hope that when we return to Whistler we would be able to stay here again! Thanks, Suzanne!

  • The room is immaculate - just how it looks in the pictures. The bed is enormous and very comfortable. It was an easy 10 minute walk along the Valley Trail and into the Village. Barry and Suzanne were lovely hosts - highly recommend this place - I'd definitely go back.

  • The Whistler Retreat was perfect for our trip to Whistler Blackcomb. Located a very short walk from the base of the mountain and Whistler Village, this (email hidden) for ski/snowboard enthusiasts looking (email hidden) to stay while visiting Whistler. The bedroom is located on the ground level of the home and shares a wall with another bedroom that is also rented out to visitors. The room was exceptionally well-kept, clean and cozy. The bed is very spacious and linens and pillows were very comfortable! The bathroom was also sparkling clean with hotel-quality towels.

To top it off, Suzanne and Barry were very kind hosts, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Overall, this experience was a lovely one. Whistler Retreat offers wonderful, quality accommodations and we would certainly love to stay here again.

  • Great room, very clean, huge comfortable bed and very close to the village center. would highly recommend it :-)

  • The bed is huge & comfortable, the bathroom is not any different from a 4stars hotel. Location is ideal, only 5 or 7 minutes walk to Whistler village. There's a short cut if you're walking so you actually don't have to go along the same road that you took when you drive from the highway. Check where & if you can store ski equipments, because I vaguely remember that Suzanne mentioned there was no room in the house for that.

The room & ensuite bathroom are in the basement (ground level) & you have a huge window & the heater is quite good so you won't feel cold. There was a portable heater in the bathroom that you plug in & it warms it up in no time.

I'm not used to live in the basement & maybe this is why I thought it was loud for me. All sounds from the main floor up carried down to the suite. However, all is quiet by 11pm. I believe there was some celebration on the night I was staying there.
I'd highly recommend staying at Suzanne & Barry.

  • Room and bathroom were amazing! Very nice decor, amenities, appliances (all American Standard), and very thoughtful of Barry & Suzanne to create a quick reference sheet for wifi, house rules, etc. Would certainly return to stay for many more moons!

  • We had a great few nights staying with Suzanne and Barry. The room was well presented and the bed super comfy! It was a short walk into Whistler village (~10min with ski boots!), located in a quiet part of town. Suzanne and Barry were really accommodating, offering some great tips on where to eat and drink! Thanks for having us!

We have lived in Whistler, B.C Canada for over 30 years and enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer. During the summer months we mountain-bike, and walk our dogs on the valley trails around whistler. We love to spend time cooking and enjoying great dinners with friends. The winter months I am kept very busy x-country-skiing and working hard in our busy resort. My husband and I love to travel, experience new places and meet new people.
