  • The Carriage House in the Highlands was a great place to stay. It is located near Bardstown Road, one of the neatest places we found in Louisville. It was a breeze to find, with parking right next to where you are staying. Thunder over Louisville was happening when we came into town. Getting downtown was easy and when we got back to the Carriage house, we were in a quite location, out of the thick of things. Our hosts were accommodating, and made things easy. Given the location, day trips to Mammoth Caves National Park and the Lexington area, (Kentucky Horse Park) were easy. The Carriage House was perfect for our family of four, especially when measured against almost any hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to family and / or friends looking to visit Louisville.

  • My three girlfriends and I had a delightful time in Louisville. The Carriage House was a perfect place for us. Great location, very comfortably decorated and a great hang out spot. Oh, and the beds were ridiculously comfortable! Thanks to our hosts Ian and Candice for this great experience!

  • Ian and Candice provided a clean well thought and stocked carriage house. Our family would happily stay here again. Ian and Candice were on vacation when we arrived but their house sitter helped us promptly. Great neighborhood with parks, restaurants, bookstore, grocery, movies and more.

  • Ian and Candice Carriage House was perfectly situated for our long weekend getaway in Louisville. It's a half block off Bardstown Rd, which is lined with great restaurants, bars and funky shops. Cherokee Park and Cave Hill Cemetery are close by, and were great fun for the kids. The Carriage House is beautiful, well equipped, and we especially loved the loft balcony (which is larger then it sounds). The neighborhood felt safe, and everyone we spoke with was friendly and welcoming. Great place, hope we can stay here again!

  • Wonderful place to stay. Well kept. The layout and amenities offered were second to none. Location was amazing, within walking distance from a lot of great restaraunts, bars, and cool shops. Ian and Candice were the most flexible and kind host.

  • We can't say enough good things about this property. Perfect location, near everything but private and peaceful. There is room for 4 to comfortably relax and sleep and a small patio on the top floor gives the feeling that you're in a tree house overlooking the whole neighborhood.

Ian and Candice live nearby and were very friendly. Had a great time and hope to return there someday!

  • The carriage house was lovely! Everything was recently renovated and couldn't have been nicer--including a vase with fresh flowers left by Candice! The house got great light and was very comfortable for the three of us. Candice stopped by and had some great ideas for what to do in the Highlands. The carriage house was within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants in the Highlands and also has an off-street parking space. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and will book it again when I return to Louisville.
