We are one Oaxaca traditional family.
Everyone who have interest to know and enjoy a magical and multicultural city like a Oaxaca, are very welcome! We have two rooms with private bath and two with shared bath, three of the bedrooms have double bed and one single bed. We do the toilet in his room Monday to Friday, changing sheets, blankets etc ...
Once a week, they can use the kitchen and prepare meals.Access to the house is very easy, whether by foot, bus or taxi, is also a very safe and quiet area, offered at no cost to pick up our guests at the bus station or airport. We can also provide information about fun places (bars, discos etc ...) or sites to learn more about our culture (museums, markets, archaeological sites etc ...).
We may also inform them of Spanish schools and various public and private universities. The mere talk of Oaxaca is very interesting, there is much to see here. We appreciate your trust and preference. We are sure that a lot of fun. The mere talk of Oaxaca is very interesting, there is much to see here. We appreciate your trust and preference. We are sure that a lot of fun. Nice place, very friendly people. Saul even took the time to meet us at the airport! His Mom is very lovely, gracious, and gives incredible hugs.
Saul and his mom were extremely welcoming upon arrival. Saul is a person who will go out of his way to accommodate you. He showed us around on our first day and made sure we understood the bus system, how to walk to the centro, and where the markets were. It's an easy 20-30 min walk to the centro, so we never used the bus. The neighborhood is safe and the house is spacious. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
Todo muy bien. Saúl es súper amable y atento, volvería a su casa sin ningún problema.
Saul & his mom were absolutely lovely. I had to change my arrival time several times and Saul was extremely accommodating. He picked me up from the bus station, took me on a tour of Oaxaca, and made excellent suggestions on how to spend my time there.
The house is a 20-30 minute walk from the center of the city. It was a lovely walk into town, but the walk back is less pleasant. It is in an unusual culdesac type of area that can be accessed from a foot bridge that I could not find at night. I went around the culdesac to the street opening at the top. This is not much that further, but again at night it can be confusing. There are also some desolate stretches that felt fine during the day, but less comfortable at night. To be clear, I think it is totally safe and very suburban neighborhood, but I would have preferred to be closer to the center of things at night, where it is more populated.
The room for rent and the guest bathroom need a deep cleaning.
We feel in love with Oaxaca thanks to Saul and his mother, Rosa. They are amazing hosts, helping us with every request. Rosa made me her world famous tea when I was experiencing stomach issues; and Saul provided generous lifts upon request. Two of the loveliest people we have ever stayed with! Don't be thrown off by a location out of town as its a lovely neighbourhood and the stroll into town was easy (basically following one road) and became one of our favourite parts of the day!
Such an excellent host. We were picked up from the bus station shown around in the car and dropped back at the bus station when we checked out. This was very much appreciated. The house is in a nice neighbourhood and we enjoyed our walks to and from the centre along the old cobbled road.
Saul and his family is very kind, and Oaxaca is my favorite city in Mexico. Saul comes to pick up me at the bus station and show me around the city. He also introduces some good taste restautants to me which serve cheap and delicious mole sauce. When I find I lost my charger of camera, his father drives me to the shop to buy it. I really appreciate it. If I come back to Oaxaca, Saul's house is still the best choice.
