This house is truly a luxurious retreat with a bright artistic flair! It offers total privacy, an amazing view of the valley from its large deck, and a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. You will feel like you are far out of the hustle and bustle of the city, yet you are less than 20 minutes away from Downtown Eugene. This is the perfect getaway for you, your family, and your friends!
The space
This chalet-style house is a two bedroom, two bath luxury home with a large deck where you can relax and take in the expansive views of the valley. It can sleep up to 7 people, however we only accept reservations for a total of four adults. We will accept up to seven people for families with children.
The bedrooms/beds: One bedroom is an atrium! Surrounded by windows, you will wake up in nature and feel truly restored by the beauty around you. There is a small deck and a hot tub directly off of the atrium room. This is the door that will also give anyone access to the back yard.
The upstairs master bedroom is large and has a private bathroom with a shower and a walk-in closet.
Just off the master bedroom is a loft space that has a daybed and incredible views of the treetops!
Downstairs layout: Downstairs you will find the kitchen, living room, atrium bedroom and a bathroom with a bathtub.
We have an inflatable queen mattress for larger groups.
Also downstairs is a laundry room which also houses the ceramic kiln. This room remains locked for safety, however access may be granted for stays over 5 days.
There is also a bedroom downstairs that has been converted into a ceramics studio. I reserve Monday and Tuesday evenings to work on my own pottery and also occasionally have small classes for the community. This room will stay locked during your stay, but sometimes I am able to offer pottery classes to Airbnb guests. If interested, let me know!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1.) This house is not appropriate for parties (or even loud "gatherings")! We live in a close-knit rural community and the neighbors are very sensitive to noise.
2.) This listing is in the country. You may find bugs in the house. You may find animal droppings in the yard. You may be woken up by some screeching blue jays!.....etc.
3.) Power Outages- they are not common, but they do happen! Usually during a winter storm or during the summer wildfire season. This is fairly common out here in the country. We offer guests a flexible cancellation policy if it looks like a storm may be moving in or if the valley gets too smokey during fire season, but we cannot be responsible for any inconveniences that a power outage may cause.
Guest access
You will have full access to the whole house, except the kiln room/laundry room and the ceramics studio downstairs (all doors to these rooms are locked).
Other things to note
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: This house is not appropriate for parties (or even loud "gatherings")! We live in a close-knit rural community and the neighbors are very sensitive to noise. On the weekends, quiet hours are 9:30pm- 8am and during the week 8:30pm-8am. Noise from the deck and the hot tub area travels easily. We live on the other side of the 47-acre property and can clearly hear when we have loud guests. For the sake of our future guests and our neighbors, this is a strict policy. We want to ensure a good relationship with the other members in our community! Thanks for understanding- we hope you enjoy this quiet slice of paradise!!
We have one exterior security camera (Ring camera) installed at our front door.
