Unplug To Recharge. Choose Nature!
We would like to welcome you to our tiny, off grid cabin on the banks of Big Cedar Creek, only 10 minutes from downtown Lebanon, VA! Situated on a 150 acre farm, the cabin feels like a true retreat into nature. While sitting around the gas fire pit, you can hear the sounds of the creek, and often see deer, foxes, osprey, and more! Hiking on the farm is permitted seasonally, and there are also 2 large ponds, ranging from 2-5 acres, so bring the fishing poles!!
The space
**Newly renovated with stainless steel outdoor kitchen, fully stocked with cooktop and grill!**
Big Cedar Creek Cabin is camping at an unprecedented level. We are perfect for first time campers AND a respite for more serious campers - we do not disappoint! We have created a space for your much-needed digital detox on a beautiful tract of land that allows for privacy, unlike any other campground. Immerse yourself in nature and unplug... Step a few inches outside of your comfort zone and you will thank us later.
We provide detailed instructions and descriptions of the cabin that delves deep into the experience (to make sure this is the right experience for your family)!
Arrive to a cabin with a full bed (and bunk bed), and futon with cozy blankets and pillows (please bring your own sheets/pillow cases for the bed) steps from a wondrously noisy trout stream. A high-end cooler is your fridge. There is a stainless steel, fully stocked outdoor kitchen complete with propane grill and stove top as your cooking source. Solar power for lights/fan is provided in addition to blankets, pillows, and toilet paper. We provide an outdoor solar powered hot shower (or take a dip in the stream) and, of course, there is separate bathroom just steps away from the cabin, fire pit, deck with chairs for lounging and soaking in the beauty that surrounds you while listening to the beautiful music of the river. On a quiet morning, you can see deer, river otters, turtles, osprey, hawks and even a bald eagle if you’re lucky!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the cabin and the entire 150 acre farm. Catch and release fishing is allowed. As this is a working farm, guests may occasionally run into cattle and/or the farm manager when he is checking or feeding cattle. However, the cabin location is private.
Unless you have a 4WD vehicle, We require that you park just off the gravel road (signage directs you where to park) and hike approximately 200 yards down the road to the cabin. We have provided you a small cart to assist with toting your belongings to the cabin. You will then have a private, secluded area to enjoy all to yourselves to unplug, recharge and enjoy!
Go explore! Go Unplug!
Other things to note
The cabin is accessible by 4WD in dry weather. If inclement weather is forecasted, guests may need park in the designated parking area and hike the remaining distance to the cabin.
Also please note that the bathroom is in a separate building, and features a toilet and a vanity with running water. The shower is outdoors, with heated water. The water at the cabin is non-potable, so please plan to bring drinking water.
The cabin is 100% solar powered; therefore, we ask guests to be mindful of electricity usage. There will be plenty of power for the lights and ceiling fan,
and to charge a cell phone or laptop, but we ask that everything be turned off when not in use.
This is a working farm and a rural location, so you may occasionally share your space wildlife or bugs! We hope that you see it for the natural escape that it is!
