We spent a lovely four days at Cathy's apartment which is a very relaxing space, nicely decorated, filled with thoughtful touches that make the traveler's life easier. Cathy was easy to reach and gave us excellent travel recommendations. The apartment is quiet and in a charming neighborhood. There is a gracious brick porch in front of the apartment that soaks in the morning sun which is a delightful spot to have your breakfast.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at Kathy's apartment #1.
We didn't meet actually meet Kathy but we appreciated her clear and timely communications. Her notes and reminders in the apartment were much appreciated. I would never have figured out the shower without her instructions! The apartment was very much as described and pictured--clean, comfy, and cozy in a quiet, sweet neighborhood within easy walking distance of State St., the heart of Santa Barbara's shopping, entertainment, and dining life. We would not hesitate to book this apartment in the future or recommend it to our cold, wet friends in Seattle.
This place is great! Everything it says it is. Everything. That also means, bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. It's a beautiful old building and someone lives above this unit. The walls and ceiling are indeed thin. When that person walks around, talks, ect, you can hear them.
Other than that, it's fantastic! Super clean. Really nicely decorated. Close to State st. but far enough away that you're not right in it outside your door.
I'd recommend this place, just bring ear plugs. :)
We loved our Santa Barbara stay @ Cathy's place! The apt. was clean & efficient & had everything we needed. Cathy was very helpful, Communicated by e-mail promptly & was helpful in steering me through our 1st AIRbnb experience! The location was ideal, within walking distance of downtown & our daughter's apt. Would definitely rent from Cathy again!
This cozy one bedroom apartment has everything you need for your stay in Santa Barbara. The location is ideal - safe neighborhood and walking distance to all downtown restaurants and shopping. Convenient to the beach. There's even an orange tree by the front door where you can pick fresh oranges in December. Delightful in every way - we hope to be back soon!
The apartment was great place for my wife to use for a 4 day getaway. It is clean, cozy, and conveniently located just 2.5 blocks from Paseo Nuevo Mall in a nice residential neighborhood. Cathy has simply but nicely decorated and remodeled the apartment making it feel modern and comfortable. She was a good communicator and had helpful instructions and information in the apartment. She was attentive and helpful. The main negatives were that we could hear the walking and normal sounds of the upstairs residents through the walls and the heater is only in the living room in front. It was adequate nonetheless. There is no TV in the apartment so we watched movies and programs online. The wifi was good. All in all I would recommend this place if you are looking for a simple, affordable, and convenient place to stay to explore Santa Barbara.
Cute and cozy apt, and thoughtfully stocked with every little thing you might need. Really great location.
Our first time to Santa Barbara was a total hit for me & my husband, and Cathy was a big part of that. The apartment was a great little oasis to come home to after walking/biking around the city; it is such a cozy place, right down to the carafes of water by the (incredibly comfortable) bed. We so very appreciated having bikes, helmets and locks to really explore Santa Barbara car-free. Cathy also suggested booking a trip with Channel Island Outfitters to kayak around the Channel Islands--what a great time! We were so lucky to see a bait ball on the way to the Channel Islands with swarms of birds, seals and dolphins feasting on the baitball. Beautiful, quiet and peaceful... a great vacation.
Hi Mai, I'm so glad you went to Santa Cruz Island and got to see a bait ball and the abundant sea life in our channel!! It is such a big experience that is right in our back yard here in Santa Barbara. I also appreciate that you enjoyed the bikes, unfortunately, due to insurance reasons, I can no longer offer them to guests at our rentals :(((. There are daily bike rentals available 4 blocks away, so it's still a fantastic option to ride the many beautiful bikeways in Santa Barbara. Hope you can come again!!
Cathy's charming apartment is so perfectly appointed with all one needs for a comfortable stay. Full kitchen, cozy living area, great shower and comfy bed! The location is walkable to shops and restaurants and super close to the beach and 101. Easy parking and very inexpensive parking lot at the Paseo Nuevo mall a few blocks away if you need extra. Cathy gave a great restaurant recommendation, Paradise Cafe. I'd stay here again!
Great place to stay, lots of information about the area and very close to all the bars and restaurants. Cathy was easy to deal with, highly recommended. Thank you from Chris and Tracey
