psss- The walls (ceiling) are thin at this property. If you are a light sleeper or want to sleep in, bring ear plugs. Be forewarned that it's an old building! 99% of the time the place is silent from 10 pm to 7am. Sweet dreams!

WELCOME TO AIRBNB! You are going on vacation in a neighborhood...! Not in a tourist corridor that is some what controlled. It's like you've moved into your own house for your stay, so the things that make you a good neighbor at home apply here. Please be considerate and respectful and let your host know (think of your call to me as calling the front desk at a hotel...) if something is going on before you write in in a review so it can be resolved for all the future guests!!

1. ENJOY YOUR STAY :)))) !
2. CONTACT... Cathy if you have questions or concerns (including after hour noise, something broken, something smells?). (phone number hidden) As much as we would like to... we do not allow pets, sublets, parties or extra guests.
3. QUIET TIMES: Please be respectful of our great, friendly tenants and be quiet as mice after 10pm and before 7am :)
4. NO SMOKING! Smoking is not permitted on the property.
5. CONSERVE- Please recycle and conserve water where ever possible. (No baths, we are in serious drought, driest here in recorded history!)
6. THE CITY SWEEPS THE STREETS WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAYS. (Tuesday night park on the same side of the street as the unit, Wednesday night park across the street.) Please park consciously, maximize the parking spaces in front of our building and on the street by pulling right up to the red curb.
7. COOK! The kitchen counter is wood block that is NOT designed to be cut on. There are two big cutting boards for your use.
8. NOTICE: Please dry any water that gets onto the bathroom floor. It's an old building and sitting pools of water has a way of getting into it's "bones" and causing problems.
9. BEFORE YOU GO: did you bring the parking pass in from your car? (It's done a little traveling since we started!) Turn off the heat? Sign the guestbook? If you let me know if something isn't working or got broken asap, it helps so much. Often times I don't learn this until I have another guest walking in the door! Muchas gracias!!

Our experience was phenomenal! We could not have picked a more PERFECT place, located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. We walked everywhere-- to State Street, the wharf, grocery store, etc. Everything in the apartment was clean and easy to find. It felt like we were staying in a luxury hotel. Cathy also did a terrific job of providing clear instructions and notifications about our stay ahead of time --leaving no room for confusion. We will definitely be staying there again the next time we visit Santa Barbara!
Perfect, central, quiet location with easy parking and almost any conceivable resource in walking distance. The apartment is very comfortable and clean, with lots of regional maps and information. Kitchen has a very nice gas cook top and all the tools for making meals. We found the cost quite low, and considering the location and the nature of the apartment, it's a steal. How can you afford not to come here? The host tells you everything you need to know, no wondering about certain things like one sometimes does elsewhere. She's also extremely responsive and usually gets back to you within a few minutes.
We had a wonderful time staying here. Kathy made us feel so welcome and had everything laid out for us. I highly recommend and hope to stay here again on a return to Santa Barbara.
Cathy was very warm and welcoming host and made us feel very welcomed. The place was comfortable, clean and quite and all set up to make you feel right at home. I would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely consider staying there again.
When I arrived off my almost 24 hour travel scheduled (trains, planes, bus, taxi) I was greeted by THE most comfortable bed and hot shower I've ever had the pleasure to experience at an Airbnb. Heaven. Everything was where Cathy said it was, she was very responsive and I had no problem finding this gem (though the taxi driver did). I woke up feeling a little drunk from travel, but other than realizing the floor is a bit sloped, this amazing place missed nothing. Super clean, quiet and comfortable. I wish all my experiences were like this. Thank you for providing a comfortable and safe haven for this weary traveler (including shampoo and conditioner which came in handy since my luggage was lost for the first day). My only wish was that I could have utilized the great kitchen for more than scrambled eggs! Thanks Cathy for a wonderful stay!
Cathy's place was a delightful home on a quiet street within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to see and do! Very nice! Highly recommended and we would definitely consider visiting again! Note: This place doesn't have a full-size oven. However, it does have a microwave, a (very capable) toaster oven, and a gas stove. If you are planning to eat in (as we did on a couple of occasions), plan your grocery purchases accordingly. All in all, a great place, and a great value!
Great little place near State St. in Santa Barbara. Everything was comfortable and cozy. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
