About this listing
I'm happy to open my small but comfortable and lovingly furnished studio to you on your visit to Portland. This is the perfect space for two. I'm usually able to be quite flexible and accommodating with guests, so please shoot me a message!
Very charming alcove studio belonging to a local designer -- furnished with mid-century / naturalist decor, a sleek kitchen with modern appliances, stacks of wool blankets, a cozy patio, and all the comforts of Portland living. Be OK with cats as I have a very friendly Sealpoint Birman who is low mantinance but loves a good cuddle.
Readily available street parking in a quiet neighborhood just off of Alberta Street which offers great food and coffee and all the rad parts of Portland life.
One of Portland’s oldest neighborhoods, the Alberta Arts District has seen a revival as a thriving community with a diverse blend of cultures. Spend the day getting familiar with the many coffee shops, galleries and independent art studios, as well as fashionable boutiques and top-rated restaurants. Visit on the last Thursday evening of any month to experience the street-party atmosphere of the neighborhood’s art gallery walk.
Many more photos and information available, just get in touch!
Guests have full range over the studio as well as their patio and shared laundry facility.
Interaction with Guests
I tend to let guests have as much space as they need, often with just a quick hello and shake of the hands. I also leave helpful maps, magazines, and guides to the neighborhood and Portland metro area.
Though my street is quiet and calm, I'm just a block away from a street filled with activity.
Bikes are the best way to get around the neighborhood! I'm just down the street from a great rental shop.
House rules are fairly simple. I like to meet guests when they arrive to show them the place and answer any questions. This usually only takes about 10-15 minutes before I wish you a happy stay and get out of your hair.
About the Host, Bowen
I'm an art director and set stylist for film and photography. I've got a cat named Birch and a lust for the outdoors. It shows in my home which is a cozy cabin-like place with a rustic decor and collections from my frequent wanderings.
