A spacious, bright monolocale with kitchen and dining area and large double bed. The apartment overlooks a beautiful central courtyard full of citrus trees and has its own table and chairs outside the french doors to enjoy the quiet area outdoors.

The apartment is spacious open studio style and full of light and has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table and 2 arm chairs. There is a large wardrobe in which to store your luggage and which divides the dining and kitchen area from the bedroom with its large comfortable double bed. The bathroom is large with a bath/shower, toilet and bidet. This apartment is very similar to the Tiziano apartment which is right next door and ideal also for two couples or a family who want to rent separate apartments but be close by.
The Amanati Suite is located in the beautiful elegant Palazzo and is graced with a reception area, on site assistance and all the comforts you would expect of your own home. The apartment is very quiet and the outdoor terracotta paved courtyard is peaceful and ideal for relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day at your own table and chairs where you can also take your breakfast, lunch and dinner in the warmer months.
The Palazzo has its own underground parking area which is available to all guests at a minimal daily fee of 20 euro. There is a free laundry with washers and dryers available on site for clients use. For families with a baby there is also a cot available on request at not extra cost. The apartment has satellite TV and free WI FI connection.

There is a fresh fruit and vegetable market a few minutes walk and also a supermarket. The Palazzo is just across the road from what was once Michelangel's house, now a beautiful museum and also a few minutes walk from the church of Santa Croce. All other monuments are within a 10 minute walk. The Santa Croce area boasts a selection of restaurant, pizzeria and enoteca (wine bars).

Check in between 1pm and 5pm by appointment.
The imposed tourist tax is 1 euro per person per day payable on arrival.
Overall the apartment has ample room for a single or double occupancy plus it is clean and well maintained making one's stay comfortable. The apartment building itself is of the same standard and with close location to all main attractions, it is a good home base to have while visiting Florence. Furthermore, Rachid Abbassi, the building's manager was very accommodating to my requests, made reservations to the Ufizi museum to visit the following day and helpful in highlighting the following: local markets/supermarket, stores, restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe so there were no apprehensions towards walking back at night taking advantage of the sights and pleasant weather. Regarding my stay, there are two items to note: 1) the apartment has bare cooking essentials so if one wants to do any type of cooking, one needs to purchase basic items such as salt and oil...2) Easier to commute from the train station to the apartment by taxi which cost eight euros.
Grazie!
I did not see the host but Leila did her best to do her job.
It is not some separate apartment. It is several apartments in one address instead. All apartments has separate entrances, as I understood. It is cosy that entrances are not from a street, - they are from inner small garden, which is nice. One can have a cup of coffee or have some work done in the garden.
When it comes to a washer, it is not in the apartment. It is located in a basement and is used with other neighbours.
The location is great. The value for the money is also good.
This was one of the best Air BnB experience I had. The flat was great and the stay was perfect. The flat is conveniently located a little bit outside of the main Florence town centre, yet it does not take longer then 10 minutes to get to most of the main attractions. Being a little outside allows you to avoid overpriced bars and restaurants and there is only a short walk to a supermarket and fresh food market. I strongly recommend the apartment to anybody who wants to spend a few days in this stunnign city.
The biggest advantage of this place is location - 5-15 minutes to every point of interest. The place in hotel style, modest but clean, with nice patio (table, chairs and flowers) . Good support from manager.
We did not meet Leah in person, however she was highly helpful, efficient, instructive and quick in responding throughout the whole process of booking, confirmation and after-booking feedback.
The Ammanati apartment, located at the Palazzo Virginio, on a somehow wide road (via Ghibellina) compared to other alleys of Florence, is close to some bars/cafés/super markets/restaurants/bakery and it is actually a ground floor apartment, facing an internal patio (garden) in a fully restructured old building near the Santa Croce neighbourhood.
Photos on Airbnb fully reflect the actual condition of the apartment (on April 2014), which was clean, full of external light coming from large windows, spacious, within a reasonable walking distance from most sightseeing spots of Florence, very close to the river Arno (Lungarno).
For those caring and worrying about their safety, the apartment is fully secured, as access is given through a main central front door, walking down a private corridor, reaching a nice patio-garden and then accessing the apartment's blind front door.
I should not forget to mention that Mr. Rachid Abbassi, the manager of the whole Palazzo Virginio, is highly polite, well educated, fully helpful and cooperative, who facilitated our stay and helped us out with anything we needed. The overall experience was highly positive for us visiting Florence for the first time.
Please take into account that the flat, as mentioned by other users / guests, possesses a fully equipped kitchen but visitors must be able to provide themselves with all basic things needed in a household for a few days stay (extra toilet paper, soap, dishwasher detergent etc).
