The cottage is situated on our 312 hectare deer/cattle/sheep farm 24 kms East of Gore.

We are 1 hour to Invercargill, 2 hours to Dunedin and Te Anau, 2 1/2 hours to Queenstown and 1 hour from the Catlins.

We have the well known fishing river The Waipahi and the Kaiwera Stream running the boundary and through the farm with great fishing areas. Private use of these areas are accessible to guests as well as use of the hut for convenience whilst fishing.

The space
Whilst the cottage is fully fenced guests need to be aware that there are 2 working farms that use the main lane for accessibility.

Young children may need supervision whilst outside as large farm machinery and trucks pass by the cottage frequently especially during the summer months. There are also working dogs on the property so whilst the farm is generally a blissful quiet place occasionally the dogs will bark. For this reason also no dogs are permitted at the cottage.

Guests will have access to the entire cottage with parking on the lane for 2 vehicles and also in the gated of area in front of the garage. The garage is also available for guest use (the garage does not lock)

In the winter months pine cones and wood will always be available for heating in the fireplace. There is also an oil heater. electric blankets are on all the beds.

For guest use there is a greenhouse with herbs in it for use and fresh eggs from the hens in the henhouse when they are laying. Guests are not expected to look after the chickens, just enjoy the fresh eggs! In the kitchen there is a nespresso coffee machine with various capsules. There is tea and hot chocolate. For guests convenience there will be basic pantry items such as flour, cornflour, sugar, herbs, spices, oil.

There is all sky channels available. Unlimited free wifi is available during your stay.

There is no working landline in the cottage but in emergencies the landline at the main homestead is available at all times.
