Jorge and his wife were very welcoming and friendly hosts. The breakfast each morning included a fresh fruit salad, which we really appreciated! The rooms are dated, but very spacious, and they work well in terms of privacy and family (we rented both rooms, as we were traveling with our children and wanted a little space to ourselves -- each room has its own bathroom, and we we kept our bedroom doors open, so we felt "connected", but still had a sense of privacy. If we were renting just one room and there were other guests, it would still be private enough. An excellent layout that way.)
Location is great -- easy walk to anywhere in the city, and the bus terminal is only about 5 blocks away. One word of caution would be that the house is right across the street from a convent. Really neat, historical location, but if you prefer NOT to have a 5:45 a.m. wake up call of about 25 rings of the big bell, I recommend renting the "back" room (our kids did not really hear the bell, and slept through, but we in the front room were woken up each morning, hehe).
Host was very accommodating in terms of breakfast times, as well as allowing me to use the common space for an online interview via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) I had one morning of our stay -- the internet was better in the dining room, and so we turned the dining room table into my own private "office" for an hour. (Still waiting to hear if I got the job, hehe.)
Excellent host, great location for travels in the area, super value for the price. We'd stay again for sure!
