This is definitely a bnb and not a self contained apartment although you are given a key. Jorge was an extremely attentive host and sat with us at breakfast to give us maps of Salta and a very useful diagram of how to get out of the town by car. Delicious fresh fruit salad and croissants for breakfast. The accommodation is slightly old fashioned but very comfortable beds and lots of space. The bedroom at the front was noisier than the one at the back but opposite a very beautiful old convent which made up for it!

It was so nice staying with Jorge. A apecious room, clean, excellent breakfast, fruit salad, croissants, close to center, Jorge was very helpful when I had problems with my car. I can highly recomend it!

I highly recommend Caseros 44 for a bed and breakfast experience. My friend and I stayed for one night, only reserving the night before when we couldn't get a bus out of Salta. Staying with Jorge and his wife was like staying with family. The room was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. Jorge took time to chat with us and communicated with us when needed. We had a great impromptu tea with him and his wife. He also made breakfast ready for us early when we had an early tour and let of keep our baggage at his place after we checked out. We were treated like family and wish we could have stayed for longer!

Jorge was always available when we needed him, glad to give us information and the support a new tourist needs. He welcomed us warmly and served us a very tasty and healthy breakfast exactly at the time we requested. The rooms were comfortable, pleasant and clean. The location of his home is very convenient, very close to the down town, museums, churches and good restaurants we were eager to visit. I liked being located just in front of the historical but still active convent. We loved getting to know the city of Salta.

We stayed here in Jan 2015. Jorge is an excellent host. He prepared a breakfast of juice, fresh fruit, croissants and coffee for us daily. What a nice way to start the day! Off of our large bedroom was an expansive balcony with views of the street and church nearby. The bells of the church are loud but we got used to it after a while. We also had access to the living area downstairs and a back yard. Jorge was helpful with suggesting restaurants and things to do in Salta. He is an exceptional host.

Jorge and his wife were very welcoming and friendly hosts. The breakfast each morning included a fresh fruit salad, which we really appreciated! The rooms are dated, but very spacious, and they work well in terms of privacy and family (we rented both rooms, as we were traveling with our children and wanted a little space to ourselves -- each room has its own bathroom, and we we kept our bedroom doors open, so we felt "connected", but still had a sense of privacy. If we were renting just one room and there were other guests, it would still be private enough. An excellent layout that way.) Location is great -- easy walk to anywhere in the city, and the bus terminal is only about 5 blocks away. One word of caution would be that the house is right across the street from a convent. Really neat, historical location, but if you prefer NOT to have a 5:45 a.m. wake up call of about 25 rings of the big bell, I recommend renting the "back" room (our kids did not really hear the bell, and slept through, but we in the front room were woken up each morning, hehe). Host was very accommodating in terms of breakfast times, as well as allowing me to use the common space for an online interview via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) I had one morning of our stay -- the internet was better in the dining room, and so we turned the dining room table into my own private "office" for an hour. (Still waiting to hear if I got the job, hehe.) Excellent host, great location for travels in the area, super value for the price. We'd stay again for sure!
