Cozy apt in beautiful Masthugget

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Älghagsgatan, Gothenburg, 41317, Sweden

Bright and charming two-room apartment plus kitchen at the top of Masthugget, right by the edge of the large park Slottsskogen. Easily accessible by bus and walking distance to nice restaurants and bars in Linné.

The Space

Bright and charming two-room apartment plus kitchen at the top of Masthugget, right by the edge of the large park Slottsskogen. One bedroom, one double bed! (limited to two people!).

Guest Access

The living room offers your standard teak furniture and a great couch (however not large enough to sleep on!). There's an old stereo for your enjoyment, as well as a bunch of coffee gear to satisfy your pour-over needs. The large bright bedroom has a comfortable memory foam double bed.

Full kitchen, with gas stove, and a small, but adequate bathroom with shower.

Interaction with Guests

We try and rent out when we are away for the weekend or traveling, so the apartment is only available when we happen to be away. Please send a request to see if the apartment is available, I try to keep the calendar updated, but that's not always the case.

Getting around

The apartment is easily accessible by bus from the central station and walking distance to the nice restaurants and bars in Linné. The apartment is located about 10-15 min walking from Järntorget, 5 min to tram nr 11 and 10 min to trams 1 and 6. Bus nr 60 stops 100 m away.

Other Things to Note

The building was built in the 1930's as working class housing, with the corresponding level of material quality, much of which remains in the interior with bare wooden floors and 'mirror doors'.

  • Pernilla was an extremely pleasant host. Very helpful with all my "new to Gothenburg" questions and very quick to respond. Her apartment was a lovely base-super cozy and stylish-and is in easy access to the all the major parts of the city by a bus that stops almost right outside her door--all very easy. Highly recommended :)

  • My boyfriend and I had 4 days 3 nights in Pernilla's apartment. The place was clean and included all you could possible need, for a few days in Göteborg. The communication was really good, and Pernilla answered quickly all the time! The area is on a hill, with a beautiful view and Slottsskogen in your backyard. I recommend this apartment to everyone who wants to visit Göteborg!

  • Me and my partner had a truely amazing time staying in Pernilla's absolutely beautiful flat. It was a real treat: the flat was extremely clean and tidy - with fresh bed linen and clean towls waiting for us - and it is really nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was a proper double bed, and extremely comfy. The flat is located on the top of a massive hill, but there are frequent buses and there is really just a short walk to the best areas in Gothenburg for restaurants, bars and independent shops. And just around the corner there are amazing views and a beautiful big park to take walks in. All in all, a great stay!

  • Pernilla's place is unique, comfy and beautiful. Though the apartment is a little off the center of Goteborg, the bus to the center is frequent and convenient. Pernilla was easy to reach and very friendly. We definitely recommend this apartment!

  • Really nice apartment! With fjäll-rocks and houses built in tree right outside the window, it's a very Swedish feeling. Also, the beautiful Slottsskogen - where you can see a moose! - is literally just around the corner. The apartment had everything we needed, and we felt very much at home there. Pernilla was quick to answer our questions and flexible and sweet. It was easy to get from the apartment to the city center and to the ferries that take you to all the little islands in Skärgården. We had a great time and would recommend staying at Pernilla's anytime.

  • What a lovely cute apartment! We had a great 2 nights there and felt very comfortable and safe. Pernilla's directions and communications were excellent, and the flat was exactly as described. Had a great time looking through her eclectic record collection :)
Recommended as a nice apartment stay near the park (which is super close) and for a very Swedish experience.

  • We had a lovely stay in Masthugget. The location of the apartment to the forest is fantastic! Easy to get into town with the bus a few seconds away. The apartment itself is very clean and fresh, loved the vibe of the place, we felt at home instantly. Pernilla was very easy to deal with, quick to respond and very helpful. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Gothenburg. Thank you very much for having us!

  • Although we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Pernilla we had a wonderful stay at here apartment. She told us everything we needed to know. Her apartment was spacious, clean and well connected to the city center.

  • Wow, this was a cool place to cool our heels for a couple of days. The apartment is spacious, clean, and VERY hip, with a full kitchen. We felt totally at home. It was also quite close to a bus line that took us straight to the Haga District.
