This place isn’t suitable for infants (0–2 yrs) and the host doesn’t allow parties or smoking.
the Singing Dog B&B (Bed and Bone) outside Deary, ID, invites you to stay and play in the adjacent Clearwater National Forest. Well-behaved pets are welcome, but not required. Forest roads, trails, and rail-beds abound for hiking, biking, xc-skiing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling. Owners' 2-acre pond is stocked with small-mouth bass, blue gill, and trout for license-free fishing, and a canoe and kayak are available for your use in warmer weather.

The space
Come unwind and disconnect from the madness. Enjoy the natural world and true dark-sky country nestled in the National Forest, but only a mile off the highway. When you come back inside, you'll find our accommodations comfortable but old-fashioned, with VHS tapes and DVDs replacing the internet, and board games and puzzles replacing video games. (Cell service is available thru Verizon or Inland Cellular, but AT&T stops in the town of Deary.) A fenced backyard allows your pet to relax off leash.

I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:

I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists
I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines

Guest access
The rental is on 28 acres of hayfields with great sledding, snow-shoeing, and xc-skiing in the winter. The owner's property is next door with a large pond and friendly llamas and can be enjoyed by appointment. The National Forest is on three sides and offers miles of trails and wildlife. NOTE: wild animals can be unpredictable or dangerous. Use caution in nature.

Other things to note
When hiking in the Forest, you will probably only see deer and occasionally elk, moose, and rabbits, but predators like cougars, bears, coyotes, and an occasional wolf make the Clearwater National Forest their homes too, though they tend to avoid people. Exercise reasonable caution when playing in their territory. The owners' pond on the adjacent property can be enjoyed at your own risk and is 15' deep in sections. Life jackets are available to borrow. Ice skating is not allowed.
