Welcome to Franklin's Tower! This amazing Pacific Yurt is set amongst the trees on 2.5 secluded acres. Enjoy nature in the finest way. A one of a kind, private, space for you and/or your family and friends. This 30 ft. Yurt is loaded for comfort and located right outside the city limits of beautiful Whitefish, Montana. This is the perfect place for those who prefer the quiet, but still want to be close to town. Downtown, Whitefish Lake and Whitefish Mountain Resort are just 10 minutes away.
The space
Franklin's Tower is fully equipped for 4 people. A queen sized bed is the main sleeping area as well as a bunk bed with double on bottom and a twin on top. It has a full kitchen with all the amenities to enjoy delicious home cooked meals. Coffee, tea and an empty growler are also ready to be used. The back deck has a BBQ to enjoy those evenings under the Montana sky. The yurt has a private bathroom with a standing shower. All the necessities are included in the bathroom to wash those dusty bones. The living area has a large couch with a smart TV to kick back with after a long day in the wilderness. All 4 windows are fully functional and the dome opens to feel that fresh air flow. Blinds are in all windows so you really feel that treehouse vibe and can star gaze in the evening but also sleep in on summer mornings. A pellet stove is the main source of heat. The stove gives that ambiance without the mess. We have also added a mini split that has heat as well as air in hotter months. It is set at a controlled temperature which can be adjusted at your request.
Bathroom
We have included everything you need! Shampoo, conditioner as well as body wash has been provided. Please use soaps and shampoos provided as we are on a grey water system for the showers and sinks. Bath towels, washcloths and hand towels are available (located in vanity drawers). If you need more please just ask. There is a hair dryer in the vanity as well and extra toilet paper. Please no feminine products in the toilet.
Kitchen
The open kitchen is fully equipped with a French Press, electric kettle, toaster, oven, fridge, ice maker, utensils and mixing bowls. A full set of pots and pans, hot pads, hand towels and cutting boards are also provided.
We love to supply Franklin's Tower with local ground coffee and organic teas to get your morning off to a great start. We also supplied the basics like salt, pepper, sugar and an empty growler to fill at our local breweries.
Dish/hand soap is located in the pump beside the kitchen sink facet.
Please no food down the sink.
BBQ on back deck is propane. Please use grill brush to clean after each use.
Amenities
To make your stay as comfortable as possible Franklin’s Tower has a smart TV, free Wi-Fi, USB charging stations, plenty of outlets, extra blankets and games.
Safety
Our yurt has a carbon monoxide and smoke alarm, fire extinguisher and a first aid kit (located in the bathroom.) All are up to date and checked regularly.
Bear Spray is recommended when you are recreating outdoors in NW MT.
Trash/Recycling
Please be aware that our 2.5 acres is located in bear country. Grizzly and Black bears are seen each year. We also have many other types of animals such as mountain lion, skunk, deer, elk, wild turkey and neighborhood cats and dogs. It is crucial to not leave ANY FOOD OUTSIDE. We have provided trash cans in the bathroom and kitchen. Please use the extra bags under the kitchen sink and let me know if you need trash pickup. There is also a recycling bin for aluminum cans, cardboard, plastic (#1 & #2 only) as well as glass. We love our Mother Earth and encourage you to recycle. I am happy to pick this up as well when full. Just let me know.
Sleeping Arrangements
Franklin’s Tower can accommodate up to 4 people. All beds are fully made with extra blankets and pillows provided.
Cool/Heat
Please feel free to open windows, just close when not on property. The dome opens to get that fresh air flowing. When the screw stops, STOP turning. No need to over crank the dome when opening and closing. The handle to do so is located beside the bathroom door.
The pellet stove provides amazing heat with ease so anyone can do it. In winter months pellet stove should be running prior to arrival. Matt will reach out to each guest with specific directions on how to operate properly.

Guest access
Franklin’s Tower is located on 2.5 secluded and private acres that can easily be explored.
In Winter months 4 wheel or All wheel drive is required to get to the top. If you are adventurous and do not have this type of vehicle, you can always park at the bottom. It is a very short walk.
Other things to note
Living in a yurt is living with nature, being a part of it. And it feels good.
When arriving a Welcome Letter is provided with information about the yurt and the check out procedure.
