Enjoy our vast and confortable loft located in the heart of Paris, historical lively foodies' paradise RUE MONTORGEUIL
Quiet, well equipped, good WIFI, 2 bedrooms atypic space.
Will fit family or friends gathering. Do ask specific for questions/needs
In the heart of Paris (2nd arrondissement), and in trendy parisian area called Quartier MONTORGUEIL (à pedestrian street, full of bars/restaurants, typical foodshops... Bakeries, fruit and veggies, wine shops, chocolate shops, cheese/fromageries... Plenty of choice!). It is a foodie's paradise!
A metro station just in front of the building (M° Sentier, line 3) and RER A and B in Chatelet Les Halles will carry you direct to both Orly and Roissy Charles de Gaulle airports (5 to 7 minutes walk).
From our place, you will be able to visit and explore Paris ... just walking around : Marais, Les Halles, Seine river, Paris rive gauche, Grands Boulevards and the shops like Grands Magasins .. all is very close !
We propose a large and atypic apartment (loft type), of about 90 m² / 1000 squared feet. The ceilings are pretty high, sky-light comes from sky-domes and severalother little windows ...
It is an ideal place for 4 people, whether two couples, a family or a group of 4... Since there are 2 bedrooms with a double bed in each room. But it can sleep 6 people, since we have an air-bed (honouring the original airbnb idea/concept!)
Our minimum stay is 5 nights. Also our place is ideal for 4 but exceptionnally we accept 5 people depending on the group/family/party visiting. So check the calendar and send us a message to enquire!
It is honestly a great space to live, pretty generous in size for Paris standards...
There is a large living room with two large sofas, a kitchen and "salle à manger", two separate bedrooms with 2 large beds (each confortable for two persons).
But please note that there is only one bath and one separate toilet...
It is on 1st floor (without elevator), of an old typical parisian building - our place is also very quiet (the loft is entirely in courtyard) whereas in the street you have really a lot of activity.
Furnished in a contemporary style, pretty confortable et well equipped with all you will need for a great stay in Paris.
Very good and unlimited internet access (WIFI) included. Free phone usage for all international calls on fixe/land lines (most countries in Europe and US/Canada).
>150 TV channels through internet connection on our TV too!
Any question you might have, please ask ...
This is a no smoke / no pets / no party flat. Thanks for your understanding!
Finally if you are planning a longer trip to France and not only in Paris, you might want to have a look at our Nice seaside pied à terre (sleeps 4 too) on airbnb reference too. See under my name/profile in "my other listings"
Non smoking, for the confort of all.
No pets / animals allowed.
No parties ... the building is nice and the neighbours fine, but don't forget that you are living as a parisians do ... although on vacation !
We will try to do our best to make your stay as confortable as possible.
Marco is an excellent host. The apartment has everything you need and is exactly as described.
Everything was great and as described. Though Marco was out of town, he was flexible with our arrival time, and ensured we were settled in after we arrived. The location cannot be beat and the accommodations were warm and comfortable. Not having windows was new, and after a while it grew more noticeable, but we were aware that was the case before we booked and spent most of our time on the street anyway. I highly recommend staying at Marco's place if you are passing through Paris for a few days.
Thank you Adam for your review. I am glad you enjoyed staying here
Just a little note for future guests: there is no traditional window (vertical) but there are two pretty large sky-windows (sky domes, which you can open and close electrically)
They provide quite a large amount of light in the loft for most of the daytime. But no view.
Please look at the several pictures on the site to get a better idea of 'how it looks'
We love Marco's apartment and the it's owner. The apartment is very spacious and very light. The location is great, just 5 m from the metro station, and next to the bubbly walking street. Next door is a Starbucks and 3 supermarkets. Marco is an excellent host, we could not ask anything more, he provided everything to make sure our stay was a completely stress free. We didn't have to buy anything for our daily needs, except of course - food. Marco provided everything: soaps, cleaning liquids, laundry detergent... He provided a fridge full of milk, water and Fruit juices for us. We would recommend everyone to stay at Marco's apartment. He is online almost all the time and reply to us very quickly.
What a wonderful location! In walking distance of Notre Dame and the Mona Lisa. The street of the apartment is filled with wonderful cafes, bakeries, cheese and wine shops. It is a truly delightful both day and night. Marco also made us feel very welcome and provided great information and tips on getting around and entertaining ourselves. The apartment is very spacious and offered plenty of room for our family of five. We could not have picked a better stay for our time in Paris.
Great location! Marco was awesome! We had an early arrival and he allowed us to check-in early (around 9am). He stayed with us for about an hour showing us how everything in the apartment worked. He gave us maps, directions, suggestions! This was our first time in Paris and we appreciated the welcome.
The street--there is a Starbucks and an ATM right outside the door. A boulangerie/bakery was across the street. There is also another one down the street that sells quiche in the morning. Parisians don’t normally eat quiche for breakfast, but Americans cannot live on croissants alone. There are also 3 pharmacies, 2 grocery stores.
We walked everywhere. The apartment is centrally located to almost everything. The Sentier metro stop is directly across from the apartment’s front door---super convenient. I always felt very safe. There is an elementary school in this block and small kids are walking with teachers, parents and by themselves all the time.
We stayed for two weeks with another couple. Both couples were comfortable with the space of each of the bedrooms. Marco offered us plenty of closet space and storage. It was very convenient to have the toilet in another part of the apartment and not in the shower room. We did the laundry and ran the dishwasher every day. Marco was awesome to provide all detergent, hand soap and cleaning supplies. My favorite thing was that he had the cleaner come in at the one week mark. Surface cleaning is normal; but when you are on vacation, you don’t want to have to do any deep cleaning. It was perfect!
The space of the apartment was great. The dining room and the living room were a good size. I should add that I had a healthy expectation of the size of European rooms----think closet. So, this place was spacious. It is true there are no traditional windows, but the two huge skylights do provide adequate natural lighting. The apartment is located in the center of the building, so you won’t get the sunrise light. Expect to have to set the alarm if you want to get your day started before 9am. We had no issues with noise even with the skylights open all night. We used the fans for air circulation and that probably helped if there was ever any random noise. The beds were quite comfortable and linens were fresh. We slept well every night.
(I only mention this because it will make Marco look good. I was not inconvenienced.) On our last day, we thought there might be a water leak because there was a puddle in one of the bedrooms. I called and Marco was there in about 15-20 minutes. He called the plumber and the issue was corrected.
Great thing #150 about Marco: There was not another family checking in after us, so he allowed us to keep our bags at the apartment until 4pm. That allowed us to get in another day of touring Paris. Thank You!
