Try out tiny living in our tiny farm house! Nestled over 10 acres of retired farmland, “Egret" is one of three “tinys” at Tiny Haven. Just a mile from the C&O Canal, AT, and Maryland Heights, this is a hikers paradise. Short drive to Harpers Ferry, wineries, and breweries. “Egret” features a full kitchen, bathroom, lofted bed, living area, covered porch, and private fire. The space
Please read the full description of this space and property to make sure this is the right experience for you!

*Full Kitchen*
Cook your meals on the two portable induction hot plates, large convection toaster oven, microwave, and small toaster. Full-size fridge with ample freezer. Pots and pans, plates, bowls, utensils, and other cookware are also in the kitchen. Enjoy your coffee with the pour over. Complimentary coffee and tea provided.

*Lofted Bedroom*
Cuddle up in the queen size memory foam bed with an awning window for fresh air. Awesome remote controlled fan is also provided for great airflow.

*Living Room Area*
Lounge and eat while sitting on the small loveseat. Tray tables are provided for eating indoors, and outdoor seating is available on the covered porch when the weather is nice!

*Bathroom*
Enjoy a hot shower with fresh towels. Easy to use composting toilet that naturally separates the urine from the solids so there is no smell. Instructions are provided. We provide two bath towels per stay.

*Heat/AC*
Mini-split system for either heat or AC. A fan and is also in the tiny. In the winter, we do recommend slippers, as the floors in any tiny on wheels or rv can be on the cooler side.

*Outdoor area*
Sit outside under the covered porch and enjoy a fire in the metal fire pit (please bring your own firewood). Cook a great meal on the large propane grill. We just ask that guests close the door to the tiny when sitting outside to help keep bugs out :)

*Disconnect*
Tiny Haven is a great place to unplug from the world and reconnect with each other and nature! There is no Wifi on site and cell signal is poor. You should still be able to make and receive phone calls and texts, but hotspots and data are hit or miss. This is not the space to work remotely if you need internet.

*Private retreat*
You have the entire tiny to yourself. There are other tinys and guests at this location. It is most of the time very quiet, but you may hear people talking or playing music in the distance.

*Pet friendly*
With notice, we allow one well-behaved dog for a $75 pet fee per stay. Dog must be on a leash when outside and is not allowed in the loft, on the bed, or on the furniture. Please clean up after your dog. Please message us to let us know you will be bringing a dog. This helps us prepare our special tiny space better for your furry friend and also helps us plan extra time for cleaning after your reservation so other guests may fully enjoy the space. Thank you!

*Outdoor-Lover's Paradise*
Tiny Haven is near many outdoor activities, including hiking, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and the Potomac River.

*Cleanliness*
We are following all CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting our tiny spaces between guests. Therefore, we can not accommodate early check ins or late check outs due to needing to clean thoroughly between each guest. Check in is after 3pm, check out is by 11am.

Guest access
Guests can access the entire tiny house and the outdoor area surrounding it.

Please do not enter any other lodgings on the property without our permission.

Other things to note
*There is a larger house up the hill (about 800 yards) owned by our neighbor. Sometimes groups do hang out on the porch up there and you may here them talking, but the noise is not usually excessive. We also have an airstream that we rent on the property (approximately 400 yards away). Another tiny house sits next to Egret - approximately 50 yards away with some vegetative cover in between. Both houses face out to a wide open field, so everyone has their privacy and we have had no complaints of noise from guests.

*Two guests maximum in the tiny house. No extra guests are permitted. This listing is not suitable for children under the age of 18 due to our liability insurance and the set up of the space

*The hot water will take a little bit to heat up (approximately 30-60 seconds). Expect cold water for washing dishes and hands and hot water for showers.

*Also note that there is not a door to the bathroom. We use a curtain. If you would like a little more privacy, our other tiny house (“Ginger”) is also available on Airbnb and has a sliding barn door, or try Gypsy the Airstream, which also has a sliding door.

*If you are allergic to dogs, please stay in our other tiny house - Ginger - which is also available on AirBnB. Egret is pet friendly, although we do extra cleaning after furry friends stay.

*Cleanliness: We thoroughly clean each of our tiny homes after each guest. This includes following the guidelines provided by the CDC to protect against illness like coronavirus. We use disinfectant on all surfaces, knobs, toilets, and bath/shower areas. We also provide fresh linens and two fresh bath towels per stay. We provide ample hand soap and additional cleaning products for guest use.

*Please Note: Due to our legal liability, we have a zero tolerance policy for illegal drugs and weapons. If you use or bring illegal drugs (including marijuana) or weapons on our property, we will ask you to leave without a refund and charge you the full security deposit. The property is under regular surveillance by law enforcement. Responsible alcohol consumption is acceptable.

*No smoking allowed on the property. If you are a smoker, please stay elsewhere.

*Please do not use fireworks on our property.

*Please plan to bring your own food items. While we do sometimes provide snacks and other food items, we cannot guarantee we will have what you want or need or if the guest before you has used them up. This includes cooking oil, salt/pepper.

*Here are some items you may want to bring with you:
- Firewood
- Lighter or matches
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Bug spray (please only apply outside)
- Sunscreen
- Cooking oil, spices, coffee, tea

*Although we are very close to the C&O Canal, there is no parking down by the towpath or river. We do not recommend walking on the road we are on due to many blind turns. You can park in Harpers Ferry and walk across the walking bridge over the river to access the C&O Canal Towpath and the Maryland Heights hiking trail.

*If you’d like to have professional photography done here, advanced approval and scheduling is necessary. we have a photography fee of $150 and a two night minimum. More details can be found on our site.

*Check our our own site for the most up to date information, see our other spaces, FAQs, recommendations and things to do!

Tiny Haven is very close to great hiking, wineries, breweries, and Harpers Ferry!

We are one mile from Maryland Heights hiking trail (but please be aware that you will need to park in Harpers Ferry and walk across the walking bridge to access this trail, due to closure of the National park parking on the road by the trail), three miles from parking for Weaverton Cliffs hiking trail along the Appalachian Trail, and also just a few minutes from the Adventure Center (ziplining, rafting, tubing, kayaking, etc).

We are 10 minutes drive from Harpers Ferry Brewery and 15 minutes from Breaux Vineyards. We are 15 minutes from downtown historic Harpers Ferry.
