** The apartment is on the 3rd floor old walk-up building, but very short two flight of stairs up **(the first floor are ground level floor) Usually most apartment has no elevator at all. Top Restaurants in the East Village:
East Village restaurant guide: The best places to eat now:
We stayed at Gigi's place in late January 2015. The pictures and description are extremely accurate. Since this was my first AirBnB experience, Gigi was extremely responsive whenever I had questions. The location of the apartment is in the heart of East Village. TONS of restaurants/bars/attractions within walking distance. Also, a 3-5 minutes walk to the subway. It is a younger crowd in the East Village, as it is close to NYU. The apartment was spacious for two guests. Any more than two couples would be a stretch to stay in this apartment as it would feel crammed.
Overall, great experience. Great location. Great host.
Gigi's place was great. Everything was as described. The layout was very functional. Gigi left everything you need from pots and pans to guidebooks. Her apartment is in a great area, but the streets were surprisingly less noisy than we expected... slept very easily. The beds were comfy as well. Gigi was always easy to contact. Would stay there again.
The apartment is really cozy. Great location, subway close. It was super clean and it has everything you need. It's small and old, but New York is like this. The neighborhood is lively not too noisy. A lot of restaurants near the apart: I recommend the French restaurant Jules and the Korean Ramen...
Gigi is nice and gentle. Thanks Gigi.
Traveling a family two adults and two kids from Miami.
This cozy apartment was the perfect place for our holiday visit to NYC. The apartment, while NYC small, didn't feel cramped at all, and the five of us had no problems taking turns with the one bathroom. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and blankets for all of us. Gigi was absolutely great to work with. She provided lots of information and took care of any issues that we brought to her attention. The neighborhood itself was fantastic with lots of places to eat and try new things. There were a couple of stations within easy walking distance so we could really be anywhere we wanted to in no time at all. Highly recommend this cozy apartment.
Gigi was amazing, she was so helpful the whole way through. Always checking up on us and if we needed anything. Her apartment is great! Fantastic location, really close to the subway and some amazing bars and places to eat. The street is a bit loud, but it is NYC everywhere is loud. I think this apartment is more suited to younger travellers or people who don't mind being in a lively area. I would definitely stay with Gigi again.
It was a ver cozy appartement. We enjoyed the stay very much even the street is a bit loud. But therefore you were in the middle of everything. Gigi was very kind for giving us information and checking whether we need anything. Everything was very uncomplicated. Thanx a lot, Gigi!
