Located by the Giant Slide Trail and bordering Acadia National Park the nature enthusiast will enjoy the comfort and central location of this cottage on Mt. Desert Island. Making touring in Acadia easy with trails, sites, and Bar Harbor within easy access. Walk right from the cottage to access the carriage roads and the Giant Slide Trail which leads up Sargeant Mountain.

The space
We are a centrally located cottage in the town of Mount Desert, which borders Acadia National Park. You may hike from the front door of the cottage to access the 45 miles of carriage roads which traverse the island. No automobile traffic is allowed on the carriage roads so they are perfect for biking and hiking. No pets allowed.

The Giant Slide Trail begins just out the front door and to your right. We are within one mile to the Japanese Azalea Gardens and the Thuya Gardens. The Marina in Northeast Harbor, one mile away, offers ferry rides to the Cranberry Islands or Acadia Naturalist Tours up Somes Sound. There are a grocery store and restaurants in Northeast Harbor. In the winter one may cross country ski on the carriage roads.
