  • We had a wonderful time staying at Debby's house. The house was comfortable and clean. This (email hidden) to stay if you want a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The area has plenty to do for families with young children including lakes, farms and fruit picking. Before booking our vacation Debby was very helpful in answering all our questions and concerns.
Just a couple of things to note. We looked for a house that did not allow pets since my husband has pet allergies, however we failed to check if pets lived in the house previously. Seems like there was a pet living there previously and my husband's allergies flared up. There is wifi at the house, but at times the internet was extremely slow.

  • The house was clean and secluded, and we had everything we needed at a reasonable price.

  • Our time at Debby's beautiful cabin was a dream. The place was perfectly clean, well stocked, and ready for our quick retreat. The surrounding woods were spectacular and we felt equally isolated and nestled by nature. It's perfect for a weekend trip complete with hiking, lounging in the sun, and drinking morning coffee on the deck.

The nearby towns had small cafes for lunch or a dinner run but we stayed mostly at the cabin, embracing the fresh air. Debby (email hidden) and stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. She also answered our late-night call for help with directions (beware, if you arrive at night, it's so pitch dark that you might drive right past the driveway!). Very welcoming and kind.

We recommend the retreat to anyone needing an isolated break. It's the perfect way to reconnect with nature.

  • A wonderfully cozy and secluded getaway to Peru, Vermont! Quiet, comfortable and remote. Conveniently located nearby Okemo, Stratton and Bromley ski resorts. You're in Vermont - You should be outside!

We would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area for a ski/nature getaway

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the house. It is truly secluded and adorable. It has everything you need for two couples to relax there, and is also close to a couple of mountains too.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Debby's place for six days over Christmas. The house is impeccably maintained, comfortable, secluded, and well-appointed. The windows provided a great vista of the surrounding woods. Full kitchen with all the necessary tools made it easy to cook meals. Comfortable beds and great bathroom/shower. Ping pong table in the basement was awesome!

Proximity to Manchester for great restaurants and shopping. Bromley Mountain and Stratton are only a few minutes away for skiing. Great opportunities in the backyard (literally) for hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

Clean, comfortable, fun, relaxing. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. Thank you Debby!

  • Debby (email hidden) and her home is just perfect for a quiet get away with the option for shopping, dining, horseback riding, hang gliding, zip lining, spa services...all within a short drive. I loved returning to Debby's place after a day of hiking or jumping into the Dorset quarry, Five stars!

  • The house is just perfect. There is everything you can need ... even a good selection of music! Debby was very nice and she even gave us a selection of products from the area for our first breakfast which we loved.
The surroundings are great for hiking and for our first experience with Vermont landscape.

It is so satisfying to have others appreciate and enjoy this home. There is so much to do there and/ or relax and be still, quiet and do nothing. Being outside, whether it's walking, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, boating, gardening is what I relish the most and am fortunate to have a place where that's all so accessible. I know the area well and am happy to make recommendations for all kinds of activities, dining...
