Interaction with Guests
I try to give my guests as much privacy as they wish, but I endeavouir to spend some time with them, showing them the best touring routes and sites to visit. I also provide a ride to Barna village in my car if they wish, time permitting.
The peace and tranquility of the mountain we live on, the views are spectacular, over the nearby lake and bog, across Galway Bay, to the Burren, The Cliffs, and the Aran Islands. At night the stars are literally popping out of the sky and the lights of the villages across the bay are twinkling in response.
Buses to Galway and Aran Islands in Barna village as well as local jitney/taxi/mini-bus service makes getting around easy.

Brian was a fantastic host!! So incredibly welcoming. He left us eggs, milk and bread; gave us recommendations of places to go; even offered to drive us into Galway downtown. The cottage was absolutely lovely. Highly recommend.
The cottage was absolutely brilliant! It was cozy and perfect for our trip to Galway. Brian was the most gracious host giving us a lift into the city and providing the best places to visit and eat. He was so flexible and accommodating. The fridge was full and the cottage offered all amenities. The scenery is beautiful as well. We would love to come back! Thank you Brian for a truly memorable experience!
Our experience in Brian's house was great. The house is confortable, nice and spacious for a family of 4, with everything you may need. Moreover Brian is a remarkable host. He was always available to help us and gave us plenty of good advises for excursions and activities, adapted to both adults and children, even in case of bad weather.
Our host was extremely accommodating. He was waiting for us when we arrived and was quick to give us area recommendations and tips. Overall we had a wonderful time.
Our stay with Brian was excellent. He provided great advice on the region and also provided us with a comfortable place to stay. I would recommend this Air BnB to anyone that is staying in the Galway area.
A fantastic few days in beautiful surroundings. Brian himself has been a first class host and shown us some real gems we wouldn't have come across by ourselves. Comfy, homely base to explore from and a genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable host to point you in the right direction and maybe have a pint with too!
Ireland is wonderful, it is full of amazing landscapes, and hidden magic views.
Galway bay is so nice and it is great to wake up and enjoy this amazing view on the ocean!
The cottage was very good, very comfortable and heart warming!
Brian helped us a lot to enjoy at maximum our journey, and guided us to the best places, from the little port restaurant, to a really nice pub in the village, and without forgetting to tell us the best place to have an amazing view on Connemara and Cliffs of Moher...
We enjoyed as well the city of Galway, and we've been partying in a really nice St Partick's atmosphere, where people are very friendly and know how to party!
Being Irish and being friendly and welcoming, looks like synonyms :-)
Thanks a lot Brian, for this really nice experience!

Living in the west of Ireland, blessed by good health, fair weather, gorgeous views of Galway Bay the Burren and the Aran Islands on the horizon, I am a lucky so and so. Glad to share the wonderful Connemara scenery with visitors to my house.
