  • This cabin was perfect for our quiet New Year's vacation. Cozy, warm (two radiators plus wood stove), beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the forest. Great beer & burger joint just down the road. Ideal for any laid back getaway.

Frank was an excellent host & on top of all cleaning, maintenance, etc. I would happily stay here again, and hope to in the summer.

NOTE: Roads are not great from town to the cabin in the winter (it's not far, but worth noting). We had trouble with low-traction tires but just managed to avoid getting stuck.

  • We had a great time at Frank's cabin! It was easy to find and in a beautiful spot. Frank left us milk, eggs, and english muffins in the fridge. There are two electric heaters that work very well, in addition to the wood stove. The bathtub is enormous -- bring some bubble bath!

  • Frank's cabin was clean, cozy, peaceful - and very warm (in mid-November) with the wood stove burning. Frank provided very helpful hiking & food suggestions...was extremely pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

  • Frank was thoughtful and gracious host, and the cabin was beautiful, well-appointed, exactly what we wanted. We felt immediately at home; it (email hidden)d-in, rustic, camp-like feeling while still being comfortable and tidy. When you step out onto your front porch in the morning there's a beautiful view of the low mountains that range nearby, and the property is just secluded enough without being hard to get to from the highway. That part of Vermont is perfect if you're looking to check out from city life and hike or build a fire, but don't expect to find too much in the towns nearby. We were grateful for the co-op grocery in Royalton, which had a terrific beer selection. Would gladly stay again and recommend Frank and the cabin to anyone.

  • We had a wonderful time at the cabin and only wish it was longer. The place was cosy and the view around the area is spectacular. Frank was very accommodating and recommended his knowledge of the area to make our experience even more enjoyable. I think our fondest memory is the smell of firewood burning in our little cabin when we use the firewood stove. I would highly recommend this location to anybody looking to get away from city life.

  • We really had a fantastic time - and Frank was super, super helpful and way, way friendly. The cabin is amazing. The sunrises are gorgeous. And Frank even left us some eggs and english muffins for breakfast! I'd go back any and every time I go to this area in Vermont!

  • I just want to start off by saying that Frank was an amazing host. He was very accommodating and thoughtful, not to mention a pretty cool guy. The cabin was very cute and I am sad we didn't get to spend more time in it as we were out visiting family most of the time we were there. It is very serene up there and there is a great view of the valley from the property. I highly recommend staying here.

  • If you're looking for a quiet rustic getaway, Frank's place is the jackpot. I had a wonderful week here, drinking coffee in the morning on the deck, hiking through the nearby trails, and spending some time in Royalton. Frank made some great recommendations: Worthy Burger for a fantastic meal, and a local hike up to Kent's Ledge for the breathtaking view.

I had a special request to run internet cable out to my PC [I was working remotely with a computer that didn't have wireless] and Frank was incredibly accommodating, running a cable out from his own house.

The area is so quiet at night you'll hear a pin drop, and the night sky is the clearest I've ever seen. More than once I sat on on the porch [or near the fire pit, which has a great view of nearby mountains] just to watch the stars appear.

When the wood burning stove is lit, the whole cabin feels so cozy and smells great. The tub is perfect for a long bath. In short, I ended my week here feeling thoroughly relaxed, unplugged and recharged. I'd come back in a second!
