Want to eat closer to home? Try The Reefs Resort in Southampton: their open-air Coconuts restaurant overlooking their private beach. They might even arrange a table on the beach with candles, full linens and silverware and an amazing meal. Reservations are required. Lunch is available daily without reservations being required. For informal dining walk a few feet to Island Cuisine. For casual dining, try Swizzle Inn (a very popular local spot) or Tio Pepe on the South Shore Road. For more elegant outings there are the dining facilities at the Fairmont Southampton Princess and at the Henry VIII Pub and Grill. Blu restaurant on Middle Road and Four Ways Inn are also excellent options for your fine dining experience.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

  • Josie was very welcoming from day one. It was a fantastic stay- her home is an easy walk to two of the most beautiful beaches on the island, and she lives very close to a major bus line and a supermarket. Josie is very organized, and the apt had everything we needed. There is free wifi, a flat screen TV with a DVD collection for the occasional rainy afternoon, a nice balcony for sunny breakfasts outside. Would stay here again.

  • Josie was an absolute star - So warm and welcoming, it is hard to describe! The studio flat is exactly what we expected: Very clean, close to all the amenities as described in the advert, and very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience and I would not hesitate to recommend Josie's studio.

    Response from Josie:

What a special young lady! By the time Teresa arrived, I felt like I was greeting an old friend. I can't wait for her return.

  • Ms. Josie was such a wonderful host! My aunt, sister & I felt immediately welcome, and she provided some excellent info that made our trip even better. The Studio is a good size for 3 people, the bathroom is wonderful, and it is very easy to get to the different parts of the island. We took taxis and also used the bus system, which picks up down the street.

I would love to visit Ms. Josie again, I'm already missing her smile and cheerful presence. Thanks for having us!

  • Josie was extremely responsive when making the booking and to any emails/ questions I had before the stay. I really enjoyed the apartment, it was close to the beautiful Horseshoe Beach and there is a supermarket and cafe 5 minutes walk away to either pick up food or have breakfast/ lunch. The bus stop is nearby and easy to get into Hamilton. Josie is very helpful for giving tips about the area and I will definitely like to take a trip back!

Come back soon!!! All the best to you both.

  • Very convenient location for buses, supermarket, eateries, beautiful beaches, walking the railway trail, etc. Josie is very helpful and welcoming. Josie's accommodations make your stay easy, convenient and comfortable. If you forget your alarm clock - no worries - plus the "free ranging" rooster will gladly give you a wake up call each morning! Life is easy on the islands, as will be your stay at Josie's.

  • Nice and comfortable! Great location close to many wonderful beach. All you need is a motor bike or a ticket bus (the stop is a few steps down the street) and you can explore the island (which is amazing, clean and safe). Josie is a lovely person, she is efficient in giving information and always ready to help. I will definitely go back. Room is simple, but clean. the bathroom is new with large shower and tub. The terrace is a good place to start you day. There are a few stores and a market in the street near by. This place is perfect for travelers who want avoid fancy-expensive and stereotype resort in behalf of exploring the place and getting in touch with local culture.

  • I really enjoyed my stay here! Josie is a wonderful hostess and very accommodating. The suite was very clean and the balcony was a terrific place to have breakfast. The neighborhood was very convenient; a lot of locals live there, so if you're trying to avoid the tourist spots, this is for you. The apartment is close to a market and an amazing ice cream shop where they make the waffles fresh for each waffle cone. The beach is a ten-minute walk from the apartment. There are a few hills that you'll have to negotiate on your way to the beach or the market, so make sure you rent a scooter if walking hills isn't for you. In addition, a bus stop is very close to this apartment, so you can easily hop on a bus to take you to Hamilton or the Dockyard. (And in Hamilton you can take a bus to St. George's, a lovely little town.) I definitely recommend this accommodation!

  • I found the location particularly convenient for the Bermuda Railway Trail. Public transportation and a good supermarket, as well as a couple of other shops, were also close at hand.
