The Space

Stylish apartment exclusively used for holiday rental. Just steps away from the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum and the archaeological sites, it has the unique feature that it has been built above a roman bath complex dating back to the 2nd century AD. The site belongs to the 3rd Ephorate, is not open to the public but can be visited by our guests, who will no doubt feel the magic of living and sleeping above the ruins.
Recently refurbished, bright, spacious and very quiet, it has a small yard with an awning, chairs and a table, an ideal place to sit back and enjoy your breakfast or a traditional Greek meal delivered at your doorstep at a surprisingly affordable price(contact details provided upon booking).

The neighborhood is lively and very safe with many restaurants, bars and coffee shops. A full list of them - and much more- will be provided upon booking.

  • Ralou is an amazing hostess !
Her attention to detail and the apartment are absolutely impeccable . Anything you might need on your stay , you will surely find in this apartment - if not , you just have to ask :)
I was here to celebrate my mothers 60th birthday with my family and the location was so central, we found ourselves walking everywhere .
Ralou made dinner reservations for my mothers birthday prior to us even getting to Greece !

It was such a pleasure staying here and I highly recommend it to anyone .

  • We had a really great stay in Ralou's superbly situated apartment. It really is 5 minutes from the New Acropolis Museum! Ralou and her husband were most welcoming and helpful and sent us lots of tips about where to eat. I recommend it as a great base, and definitely plan to return. Thank you Ralou!

  • Ralou was a great host who genuinely cares about her guests. She was very helpful and sincerely interested in the quality of our experience when we stayed in Athens.

The apartment is clean and comfortable and in a great location. The street outside is relatively quiet. We slept well.

  • We spent 3 nights in Ralou's apartment and absolutely loved it! The flat is very clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped. It has a courtyard which is perfect for breakfast. The location is great, near the acropolis and Plaka as well as the metro. Don't miss the bakery across the street: the bread is fantastic! Last but not least, Ralou was very welcoming and warm and made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

  • We spent a week in an apartment Ralou. The flat is clean, well equipped and we felt like at home. Close to the Acropolis, the Plaka, everywhere :) Great bakery opposite.
I highly recommend and hope to return someday to Athens.

  • This was an A1 place to stay for our trip to Athens. The apartment was clean, tidy and well appointed. The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable and all the amenities worked properly. The location was excellent, very close to the Acropolis and Plaka but not quite in the touristy area so there were shops and restaurants nearby used by locals (with Baklava to die for!). We felt very safe here too, although we felt safe in all of the places we visited in Athens.

As well as having a great place to stay, Ralou was an incredible host. From the time we arrived until the day we left, Ralou made us feel like special guests. There were many kind things she did that made our stay enjoyable and comfortable. She also went above and beyond to help us out of a difficult situation we found ourselves in; with genuine concern for us and without complaint or thought for the inconvenience to her.

I hope to be able to come back to Athens and would definitely stay here again.

  • If you're considering exploring Athens this is an unbeatable accommodation. I've stayed near Syntagma, in the Plaka, over near the Thisio stop, and this location is the best as a home base. What can beat walking along the cobblestone promenade under Akropoli??? Ralou is an extremely attentative, caring, friendly host and made it so easy and pleasant. The whole house is very well-equipped to have the perfect home away from home- from the full kitchen to the grocery store on the corner across the street. Thank you Ralou and I look forward to returning!!

  • The flat is great and cozy, the location is extraordinary... A few steps from the main entrance you can see the Acropolis and the Parthenon, and the neighborhood is yet quiet and pleasant. And Ralou, just like her friend Maggie, is a wonderful host; she waited for me in the place to show me around and explained me everything (the apartment was so well-equipped that I almost needed nothing else to live!). She even offered me some cookies and spoon sweet as a welcoming gift!!!! She's so committed to being helpful that in the apartment she had left a lot of reading material on the city and even some notes recommending superb (and not expensive!) places to hang out and eat... She was even interested in knowing how everything was going during my stay or if I needed anything else... A lovely city, a lovely place and a lovely host... A dramatic experience, that I firmly recommend!!!! :-)

  • Ralou made our stay in Athens so wonderful! She went the extra mile to make sure we felt at home and was very communicative when we had any questions.

  • Ralou was a simply outstanding host. She provided complimentary wine, jams and breakfast provisions on our arrival and checked regularly by email that everything was as needed. She had prepared a most thorough printed portfolio of information and was also able to provide us with specific points of advice re local sights and facilities. She even assisted our departure by phoning and booking a taxi for us. The apartment itself is very clean, comfortable, quiet and well appointed, (including a well stocked bookcase - wonderful when travelling to be able to find a good read) and has its own private courtyard where not a few cups of coffee were enjoyed. The apartment is wonderfully located being 5 minute's walk to the Acropolis Museum and 10 minute's walk to the entrance to the Acropolis itself. Many of the other ancient sites are also within easy walking distance. And there's a minimart and an excellent bakery directly across the street. We cannot recommend the apartment or Ralou as a host, highly enough.
