Stylish apartment exclusively used for holiday rental. Just steps away from the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum and the archaeological sites, it has the unique feature that it has been built above a roman bath complex dating back to the 2nd century AD. The site belongs to the 3rd Ephorate, is not open to the public but can be visited by our guests, who will no doubt feel the magic of living and sleeping above the ruins.
Recently refurbished, bright, spacious and very quiet, it has a small yard with an awning, chairs and a table, an ideal place to sit back and enjoy your breakfast or a traditional Greek meal delivered at your doorstep at a surprisingly affordable price(contact details provided upon booking).
The neighborhood is lively and very safe with many restaurants, bars and coffee shops. A full list of them - and much more- will be provided upon booking.

Since I do not live close to the apartment, I need to know at least one week before your arrival in Athens, the number of your flight and your scheduled arrival time. This will enable me to plan the delivery of the keys. Thank you!
I would definately recommend Ralou's place. The apartment is welcoming and centrally located. We bought from the market and the caffe nearby in the morning before sightseeing the city. The location is excellent, easy walking distance to the Acropolis metro (we used the metro often to move around the city), there are restaurants across from the Acropolis metro station, I had amazing greek food here. Ralou will also provide some information on a list of restaurants, we actually used this reference for dinner at a nice restaurant overseeing the Acropolis nearby. The apartment and Ralou are very welcoming, she is truly a great host. We found our traveling experience at ease, we communicated often, and she was so helpful to coordinate transportation from and to the airport, we had an early flight to catch and it worked out great for us. The apartment itself is very comfortable. Overall we had an excellent stay at Ralou's place.
We had a great stay in Athens and loved Ralou's apartment. Ralou arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport (it is always nice to see your name on a Board when you arrive in a new city), and so convenient as he had the keys to the apartment. Ralou called practically as soon as we arrived to ensure all was in order, which it was. The apartment is very neat and tidy, and is as described in the advert and photo's. It is centrally located, and is very easy to walk to all the sights. Ralou communicated very well, sending us information before our trip, and has a handy list of restaurants and places to see. There is a great bakery over the road that you can't help but visit with the smells wafting across the street.
We had a great time in Athens and in the apartment, and would recommend it to all.
If you're Athens' bound, just two words: STAY HERE! This is the second time I have stayed at one of Ralou's Athens' properties and it is everything an Airbnb should be.
A beautiful one-bedroom apartment, stylishly and imaginatively decorated, as described, with well-equipped kitchen and small basement courtyard, Take a Walk on the Acropolis side is perfectly situated just 10 minutes from the Parthenon and new Acropolis Museum (incidentally an absolute gem that really brings the Ancient Greeks to life with a nice roof terrace and restaurant serving above-average food) and other major sites. It is also within a stone's throw (by foot or metro) of Plaka, Monastiraki, the National Gardens and a host of other must-see areas plus a wide selection of bars and restaurants with menus ranging from the simple and rustic to sophisticated fine dining.
The apartment itself is well equipped with everything needed for preparing a simple meal. Right opposite is a well-stocked mini-market and the famous bakery, which tempts with delicious aromas of baking bread and spices as you walk back late at night.
Ralou is a wonderful host. Warm, friendly and approachable, she made everything really easy and smooth from organising our taxi from the airport and to the bus station for our onward journey, to giving us thoughtful advice and information about where to go and what to see. Her suggestions for places to eat and drink were spot on and it was clear that she has actually been to those she recommends. We loved Vrettos, a colourful wine bar offering a wide selection of Greek wines chosen according to your taste by the owner. For food Melilotos a family restaurant offering unusual takes on traditional dishes (try the delicious aubergine dip, beetroot salad and carrot pies) in Monastiraki was the perfect choice.
The little personal touches, from a jar containing 'cookies of the month' - ours were cinnamon and honey sprinkled with sesame seeds - to recommendations for things to do and places to see, the wide selection of guidebooks and wall map with all her recommended restaurants flagged up so you can see exactly where you're going - make this a real home from home.
We had a wonderful time here. In fact two days weren't enough. If you're wondering where to stay in Athens, ponder no more. Book this: I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.
We had a great stay in Athens and loved Ralou's apartment. We were met by a driver at the airport who had keys to her place, which was very convenient. The apartment was clean and very tastefully decorated. The heaters worked great (unfortunately the weather was a little chilly) and Ralou called us to make sure everything was okay. She even left us coffee and cookies! She couldn't be there because it was Easter weekend. Everything went perfectly, and she had a great list of restaurants and things to do which were very helpful. The apartment is in a great location, only two blocks from the Acropolis museum, and everything was very close. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we felt very safe. Cute grocery store across the street, but we didn't get to try the bakery.
We loved her apartment and her hospitality and would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great stay---too short but hopefully we will be back someday!
Ralou has been wonderful. The accommodation was just as described, very comfortable and location was perfect . Ralou helped with transportation, dining suggestions, and with the details related to a weekend trip to the Peloponnese.

We had a wonderful stay at Ralou’s apartment. Ralou is an excellent host. She arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport. Ralou welcomed us to her apartment with coffee and cookies. Via email Ralou checked if we were comfortable after the first night. She was always available for anything we needed. It was lovely to stay at Ralou’s place, if we are going to come back to Athens we are staying here! Thank you so much, Ralou!
Location – perfect
Convenience - perfect (bakery, small supermarket, left luggage practically around the corner, subway is 2 min walk)
Safety – very safe (supermarket is open till 11PM and someone is at the bakery at 3AM, even though the apartment is on the first floor windows have bars and the metal shade that can be closed -we never bothered to close it)
Cleanliness – very clean
Comfort – excellent
The apartment was perfect. Ideal location within a few minutes' walk of the Acropolis and the Plaka,, everything as promised or better, and directly across the street from the best bakery in Athens. Ralou is a wonderful host: gracious, responsive and thoughtful. The experience was a model of how it should be. I recommend Ralou and this apartment without reservation. Thank you!
