We had a good couple of days in Cologne staying at Y&G's place. It's an easy ~10 minute walk from the train station, cathedral, and center of town. There are nice places to eat and drink within a few blocks, and the hosts helpfully left some recommendations (and a nice surprise of a little champagne to welcome us). They had excellent communication and arranged for a neighbor to give us the key.
The apartment isn't huge but was fine for our needs. There's access to a little balcony, and lots of light, especially in the morning. Bed was OK, might be a little firm for some, depending on your preference. Overall we had a good time and were happy with the stay.
the apartment is very good. We were very well received by Johana who handed us the keys. Yone and Gabriela have left great tips for us. Great location, we just have to be thankful for. it was all very good.
This apartment was perfect for our 3-day and 3-night stay in Cologne. Y&G were very proactive about messaging us a few days before we arrived to arrange the key pickup with their next-door neighbor, which I really appreciated and was very easy. Their neighbor, Matida, let us in the building and was ready at our pre-arranged time to show us the place and ask if we needed anything.
The actual apartment's space was perfect for the two of us, and there was a mini bottle of champagne, two glasses and a welcome sheet of paper waiting for us on the coffee table upon our arrival. The paper had suggestions for restaurants in the area, of which we visited three - all were good. Our favorite was Lo Sfizio, an Italian deli and restaurant where I had one of my favorite meals of our whole trip - tortellini with spinach, ham and cheese. The Turkish and Thai restaurants they suggested were also good.
We also visited the supermarket they suggested our first night to grab some food items to keep in the apartment and were very pleased with the low prices!
Overall, our experience was great and easy. Y&G are very organized in the way they run the renting out of this apartment - providing all the essentials for cooking in the kitchen, towels, toilet paper, a selection of books, movies and CDs, etc.
Thanks so much for a great experience - we would stay here again in a heartbeat if we ever return to Cologne.
Yoni & Gabriela were very helpful in this trip, when we arrived to the apartment they had left a lot of tips for places to visit, restaurants and supermarkets. The neighborhood was nice and safe. The apartment was exactly as described and as in the pictures. Wonderful place to stay, definitely would recommend it!
Yoni & Gabriela's place was fantastic. Exactly as the pictures suggest and all as described. They left a lovely welcome note and some useful tips for our arrival. Great location for spending a weekend in Colonge.
We had a great weekend in Cologne. Yoni & Gabriela's apartment is warm and comfortable, clean and very nice. Everything that we needed was there. There was a message from Yoni and Gabriela listing some of the local places to eat on the table when we went in along with some nice sparkling wine.
The guys who let us into the apartment and gave us the key were very nice and helpful.
The apartment is in a quite residential area, we were amazed how quite it was both day and night considering that it is in a large city.
At our walking speed it took us just 8 mins to walk from the apartment to the Cathedral and the central railway station.
Thanks to Yoni & Gabriela, when we visit Cologne again would love to stay here again. I would recommend this apartment to my family and friends if they were to visit Cologne.
