a nice big room in a cosy flat

Apartment - Private room · Acibadem Caddesi, Istanbul, Kadikoy 34718, Turkey

The Space

i live in this big flat, which is very close to train/metrobus and walking distance to seaside, ferry/bus stations. being very close to couple grocery stores, there is also a big shopping mall in the neighbourhood.

apartment is renovated, clean and big. i have all kinds of household equipments (cooker, oven, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, aspirator, blender, toaster in the open kitchen, washing machine in the bathroom), also a broadband internet connection (with no caps).

room is around 14 square meters and there is a wardrobe, single bed and a pullout couch which has a storage space underneath. there is also a desk and a chair.

there is a balcony right next to kitchen which has a limited seaview. but the best part about this flat is, buildings are not close by, like most of the kadikoy, so it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable.

if you have any questions, just contact me.

  • I'm glad to have stayed here. We had some very pleasant and interesting conversations about travel, music, etc. If you're OK with sharing a space, this could be a good choice. It's a walk-up on about the fifth floor, and a bedroom that fronts the main street below. The main living room is quite large. It's a little hard to find the first time, so make very clear plans about arriving and meeting. There is a nice cafe (Erasmus) just steps away to meet in if timing is a little iffy. A pleasant enough walk from the pier through a very typical but not touristy neighborhood. The old city and even Taksim area will seem far too expensive and crowded (as well as filled with obnoxious touts) after staying in this much quieter zone. Kadiköy is an easy place to explore the city from - the ferry transports are frequent and inexpensive. I feel like I had a great opportunity to get to know how really living in Istanbul feels, if only for a few days. There was some inexplicable banging in the middle of the night from the neighbors ... all part of this sort of experience. If you want to stay in a five star hotel, look elsewhere.

  • Aytun was a great host, a relaxed and interesting guy. I wish there had been more time to hang out with him, but I was visiting another friend so there was not much time. The flat and the room was good too. I really liked the area, I'm so pleased I decided to stay in Kadiköy. Taking the ferry to the European side and back was a great experience, as many others have said here. I can absolutely recommend staying with Aytun!

  • Whilst not being in the centre of Istanbul, this room is conveniently located, as it provides easy access to the airport (the airport-bus stops a short walk away from the house), and the neighbourhood is a generally nice and friendly place, with nice hangout areas like restaurants (and there's a big mall nearby), but without the touts and tourist shops that exist in Sultanahmet and Taksim. The apartment is spacious and comfortable as well.

Aytun was a friendly host, spoke fluent English, and provided tips and advice for touring in Istanbul and Turkey, and gave us clear directions on how to arrive at his place, and was prompt with queries and requests.

  • Süperdi :)
I was really lucky I found a roommate like Aytun: firendly, cool, open, helpful, honest and good cooking. Also I enjoyed staying at his place: a big flat with a tiny balkony from where you can see the Bosphorus :) The apartment is situated pretty close to everything in Kadiköy, it is comfortable with a well supplied kitchen. Definitely recommended!

  • I had a wonderful stay in this room with Aytun. I stayed in Istanbul for 3 week, and they were great. Aytun could not have been a better host; he had many suggestions for things to do and very helpful in helping me navigate Istanbul; his directions from getting to Kadikoy from the airport were on point and simple. The apartment itself was very nice. My room even had a great breeze in it to fight the summer heat. I would love to stay with Aytun if I return to Istanbul, no doubt.

  • Hello everyone!
The room is cozy, nice and big. I liked this place it was close to pierce and I walked too much. Also I was happy to live on the Asian side. I explored local cuisine and people, streets and shops. You can find local zone, not touristic. Also Aytun is glorious, nice, friendly, careful and so on guy!!!:-)) This offer is value for money.
