Continuing on Viale Trastevere on foot or by tram. 8 you arrive at Largo Argentina (4 stops) and from there reach by walk the city center: Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the unforgettable Spanish Steps (Spagna Metro Line A ) to Piazza Venezia where, through the two steps of 500 century, climb to the Basilica of Santa Maria in Ara Coeli and the Michelangelo's Piazza del Campidoglio where you can enjoy the superb view of the Fori Imperiali. Also from Piazza Venezia along the Imperial Forum and Trajan's Market, you finally get to the Colosseum and the scenic surrounding archaeological area. In front of the Colosseum, there is a stop Colosseo Metro Line B through which you can reach the beautiful Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and the excavations of Ostia Antica (exchange at Piramide Metro Line B, and train to Ostia).
The area where the apartment is located has everything you need: pharmacy in front, coffee shops (with great pastries and fast food) beside the building entrance, a great choice of restaurants within walking distance, supermarkets and shops of all kinds.

I actually booked this place thinking it was closer to Trastevere than it actually was. We did have to take public transport everywhere as it was really far from all the sights and maybe not as close as we had hoped or thought, however, it was just a short bus ride away from the historical centre and Albina and her husband were both very welcoming and accommodating as we had an early check in as our flight got in early. The apartment was quite large and very secure which was great!
Albina was a wonderful hostess! She had great email communication with me before our trip and set up our transportation with a private car from our cruise terminal. She also set up our transportation to the airport. She greeted us as soon as we arrived and helped us bring all of our luggage up (in a tiny elevator). When we arrived in her apartment, it was exactly as it looks in the pictures. The terrace was wonderful! Albina took lots of time explaining the neighborhood and giving us good recommendations of where to eat. We paid a 40 euro cleaning fee and an extra 5 euros a day for air conditioning (well spent). The only thing that could have been better was the shower. Their was no shower curtain and the device to hold the shower hose was broken. We ended up just using the bathtub but we had to fully scrub it out because it was actually black from what we assume was very dirty feet. The water in the bath/shower (if you decided to just try and hold the hose) was great until it would suddenly turn freezing for 3 or 4 minutes and then back to great. We really loved Rome and Albina's apartment. The only negative was the bathing experiences. Everything else was just perfect!!
The apartment was great, the location fantastic. It was easy to park the car in the street. The bus stop to go to the historic center is very convenient. Stores and supermarket nearby.
Albina and her husband were really friendly and welcoming. They gave us a great tour of the place and told us about what to do around the area. They were helpful in pointing out restaurants and nearby grocery stores.I enjoyed and my and would definitely recommend this place.
We stayed at Albina's apartment from June 9th till June 14th and had a really good experience there. The flat is only a few minutes away from the center of the Rome by tram, with the nearest tram station only a couple minutes walk away. If you prefer walking then it takes about 30 minutes by foot to get to the center and not more than an hour to place like Coliseum or Vatican Museum etc. The flat is perfectly located with a couple of supermarkets, pharmacies and numerous restaurants and coffee shops. The area is an authentic Italian neighborhood with only a few tourists here and there. Great way to see and experience the local lifestyle. Apartment itself was very nice. It is actually a little more lived in then what you see on the photos, but it was presented to us very clean and with all the necessary things for a comfortable stay. The place has a lot of light, which is really nice, but you can close down the blinds when it gets hot and have it cool and shady. There is also a large balcony, which was a perfect spot for us to relax with a glass of wine after a long day. Our hosts Albina and Rodolfo were great. We had to book our trip to Rome in a day and Albina was very quick and efficient with communicating with us and we book the flat in a matter of a couple of hours. She also provided us with a baby cot, which help us a lot since we were traveling with our 1+ year old. She also arranged a personal pick up for us at the airport. They let us drop off our luggage 2 hours before the check-in which was also very nice. Rodolfo meat us at the flat when we arrived, showed us around and also gave a lot of useful recommendations on the map of where to go and what to see. All in all they were very nice and made us feel welcome, which was important as this was our first time using Airbnb. We had a blast in Rome and we couldn't be more happy with Albina's apartment. Thank you very much and good luck to you in the future.
We have had a great time in the appartment of Albina. Our contact with Albina in advance and during the trip was great: she responded fast and gave us good advice. She was very welcoming.
The appartment was very well. We had all we need. The appartment is a not in the center, but access to the center is well provided (tram nearby), but it is also a possibility to walk to the center.
Nearby are a supermarket, a bakery and a gelaterio (for very delicious ice creams for a nice price).
I can really recommend Albina's appartment for people who don't feel the need to be in the crowded center and who enjoy being in a place with 'real' Italians.
Notre séjour a été super. Albina nous a accueilli avec une gentillesse incroyable.
D'avance nous avions reçu plein d'informations pratiques à propos de la ville, quartier et appartement et tout était conforme la description sur airbnb.
Merci beaucoup Albina!
